Not only did they can the coach, but now they've canned the player. This one is likely to burn at the Packers for as long as XLIX will burn for us.

I kinda feel bad for the guy, but at least they hold their players and coaches accountable as much as an over reaction as it may be. Wish we would hold our OC accountable for his "boner of a play".

Whether us or somewhere else, you gotta feel for the kid and hope he gets a second chance somewhere

I'm sure some teams will give him a look and realize the guy can come to your team learning from a mistake he made with another team.

Backup TE with a now a big chip on his shoulder courtesy of 12s. He's not a scrub. 6'3'' 245 when he was a rookie...and ran 4.49 in combine. Packers wanted him more bulked up...260. Good buy low player.

All he had to remember was, "do your job." Had he done that, he would probably still have his. Thankfully the guy was an idiot.

Or..... he learned his lesson, at the expense of another team.

Hearing that he may be signing with the Vikings. The good news there is he won't have to worry about costing anyone an opportunity to win the NFC Championship game

EDIT: Apparently I heard wrong. He hadn't cleared waivers. Minnesota claimed him off of the waiver wire, so same result, just a different path than what I'd heard.

GB coaches and players were throwing everyone under the bus right and left after that game, and especially Bostick. It was ugly to to see.

It was an absolute bonehead call by Bevell, on numerous levels. What will we all say if it inspires Bevell to new Red Zone heights the next 5 seasons, and 5 more Lombardis, and makes him lose some of the BS cuteness? We can dream, can't we?
