He was my choice over Penix this past year. Very smart qb.

Dont discount the difference SP is making in calling a balanced game and managing play selection to ease the burden on the dude.

Dont like SP at all but he is one helluva coach.

I expect all young QBs average at best until they prove they can move the ball consistently when forced to drop back and carry the load when inevitably defenses force them to. It usually comes in year 2. A lot of guys get away with using their legs early to compensate for their shortcomings. Eventually defenses force your hand. As dynamic as Lamar is, it's what stalls him out in the playoffs.

That's a long winded way of saying he looks promising, but I anticipate most of these guys like Nix and Daniel's to follow Stroud's trajectory and struggle once coordinators have a year of tape.

Yep, I remember you were all over Nix last draft season. You kept saying we should trade up with the Bears to get him. I think pretty much everybody (including me) shrugged off Nix going that high and/or having real success.

What your take on Odunze? I have him in fantasy in a keeper league. Many fans think he's overrated?
