We're running a lot fewer formations with a fullback I noticed. Also noticed more twin TE sets. I'm wondering if we're trying to open up the passing game more and this is the result. Frankly I'd love to see some more options that are deliberate runs for Russell. That threat always seems to help Lynch get some breathing room. Not too worried though, Beast Mode will prevail.

Good post ManBunts. I think 2 TE formations can be deadly for us. Look at Willson's TD yesterday and Miller catching a lot of clutch passes.

Willson needs to get better at run blocking then we can be more effective both running and passing from that formation.

Our OL could stand some improvement. I hope Sweezy hasn't reached his ceiling. I'm still not sold on Carpenter. Against elite DL's, we have folded this year. Adding some high end talent could only help us. Or we can rely on player development from guys like Bowie and Sweezy.

Funny thing is that on every 5+ yard run he gets, there is some penalty in like the last 4-5 games.. I feel sorry for him. I cant imagine how frustrating it can be.

Some people fail to understand the fact you stated above.. The other team we play each week has good players that sometimes make good plays.. it is not always finding fault in our scheme or our players..

Lynch's 72 yards last night represents the 5th most yards by any back against San Francisco this year, behind himself, Arian Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw (in the week 3 let-down game after playing us) and MJD in London when the 49ers wrapped it up in about a quarter and played soft.
The 49ers run D is pretty damn good, and they were pretty damn set on stopping Lynch last night.

Lynch was pretty solid last night, he just never broke any big runs to inflate his YPC (aside from the 20 yard one that was pulled back for Robinson's facemask grab).

I could be completely off base here but I almost think they went the plain vanilla schemes this game just to throw people off the scent for the playoffs. If so, It damn near worked. Malcolm Smith Catches Gore at the LOS and Ryan gets that punt off and voila we win and the people watching film scratch their heads and go...Really? But I have been wrong before! I do not however think Pete planned on throwing away most of our drives due to it raining yellow flags all damn game. But thats another subject.

Way to put the run-blocking onus where it belongs. The interior OL did pretty well while the Tackles -outside of 1-2 times for Okung- didn't hold up their end of the deal.

It's entirely possible to enjoy this season while still identifying potential weakness' on the team. Some are concerned this run first team isn't as strong as a run first team might want to be, perhaps equally concerned about the potential wear and tear to the heart of our franchise, Marshawn Lynch. Others are not concerned at all. Both sides have the potential to educate.
Why discourage this from taking place here at Seahawks.net?

it was not my intent to steal anyone's quote.. I have said this same thing year after year.. Other teams are allowed to make plays on us, both defensively and offensively.. sometimes you just get beat.. that is why it is so hard to win in the NFL.. every team has talent
