High demand + low supply = high price. .

Go look at stubhub and then please come back and explain how it is a low supply.

The issue is that there are thousands of tickets for sale at extremely high prices. People want to go to the game but won't pay that much. I expect some of those to sell at the high prices but people will start getting concerned and lower their prices slowly.....

Best time to buy a ticket if you ONLY consider the price is always a few minutes after the game started....... People that have expensive tickets and can't go will start dropping their prices several weeks in advance as they really don't want to get stuck with it. People that want to either make big money or go themselves may never drop the prices but somewhere in there a sweetspot will exist - it is all about finding it.

Professionally stated by a person that has missed the sweet spot more times than not :D

3600 tix is approximately 5% of the stadium available. I'd say that fits under low supply. (Yay for fun with numbers!)

I did note that prices are still too high (because they're not selling), and I certainly agree that people are waiting for the prices to come down before they buy. Again, I agree with you that these tickets will come down to a sweet spot; it's just going to be hard to find someone who will let you have them for face value or near to it (which is how I interpreted the fair price comment). In other words, at this point, if you want to go, you'll have to pay some level of premium price.

Something is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. Thus, my "fair market value" comment is ambiguous. Sorry to confuse people around here! :thcoffee: Personally, I would pay the price...my wife on the other hand...not so much.

My cousin is getting married on September 15th, right around 5. And I'm in the wedding.

I'm not happy.

Two words:

DirecTV Go. Download the app, pay the small fee, watch it on your phone.

Problem solved.

Oh totally in agreement and I guess we just didn't interpret fair market value the same. I start with taking the pre-season ticket cost and adding it back on the 8 games that most people feel are worth watching. Then of course there is a premium because the owner of the ticket forfeits the opportunity to watch the game.

Twice the face value falls within reasonable rate to me for many games for a hot team. This game will go / should go above that. Other things increase the value such as it is a night game you are not missing out on the redzone channel at home by going......
