Rubin has been a very good value signing. I really miss Clinton McDonald though. He seems to be the only interior lineman in recent memory who could clean up the sacks caused by Bennett/Avril.

I've been giving him love since they signed him.

Mike Holmgren when Seattle signed "Tuba" away from Cleveland "I'm surprised they let him get away." Holmy paid Tuba a good chunk of change there in Cleveland because he runs people down from behind, and is there to fall on the ball (Minnesota) when it gets stripped. :fam:

He's been another cog in the wheel that spins positive and had a good game vs. Minny.

The conclusion I'm navigating toward here is that like Brandon Mebane before him, Ahtyba Rubin is one of the most underrated Seahawks, and it's time the fanbase showed him some love.

Look at how trim that guy is in the picture! Wow!

I like Clinton too, he was a physical talent, but he had motivation problems. Tony McDaniel was an absolute monster at stopping the run, but long term, steady production, and OMG the guy runs and runs and chases everyone down from behind. Tuba is a better player than either one of those guys.

You can't place a value on that kind of constant pursuit. But good things happen around Ahtyba.

Pete and John have always done a good job of finding those unheralded big man up front. Cool to see those guys get a mention every now and then.
