And Connor is one hell of a player. This defense did a HELL of a job on Cryler and Connor.
I know this sounds far fetched but being Jones was with the titans, I wonder if the joint training camp kinda help speed Jones along in someway? Poor wording Idk.. best explanation/example I can give is on the opposite side on offense when Seattle played its first game vs Russ and Lockett told our boys Russ is calling this or that
This is getting back to the Pete Carrol DT/DE rotation philosophy of multiple big bodies rotating through the line, with around 65% of snaps for the top DT, and around 50% as the next highest, split several ways. A good comp, IMO: In 2013 NFCCG at DT, Tony McDaniel, Clinton McDonald, and Brandon Mebane each got around 50% of the snaps, while Michael Bennett got DT reps on pass-rush situations. On the Edge, Chris Clemons 71% snaps, Michael Bennett 65% snaps (some at DT), Cliff Avril 51% snaps, and Red Bryant 51%.Leonard Williams played 39 snaps yesterday, more than anyone else on the line except Boye Mafe who played 42. That's a lot of plays for a big man, but we needed him out there. Also, it was interesting to see that Hankins (12), Robertson-Harris (17), and Byron Murphy (22) didn't play much. Instead, they're getting a lot more from Derick Hall (37) and Dre'Mont Jones (32).
The Cardinals had zero rushing first downs and rushed for a total of 49 yards. It wasn't just the linebackers--the D-line was often getting to the RB in the backfield.
I'm going with that. MikeMac noticed Jones IV and saw him as a scheme fit and a leader, beyond anything TN saw in him. Helping you take this thread off-topic from Williams amazing game, lol.I don’t know about that, but it may have put Jones on Macdonalds radar a bit. I’m sure John knew him well from his time with the Rams but only Macdonald knows what he wants in a core defensive player.
To be fair Big Cat is only free to do what he does because of Jones IV so it topic adjacentI'm going with that. MikeMac noticed Jones IV and saw him as a scheme fit and a leader, beyond anything TN saw in him. Helping you take this thread off-topic from Williams amazing game, lol.
Why would it piss him off? They never played here together.Like Geno seeing KJ on the 49ers sideline the week before and that pissing him off. Can anyone confirm if Leonard saw Collier on the Cardinals sideline and that pissed him off?
I’ll be sure to begin each sarcastic comment with a disclaimer ahead of time just for youWhy would it piss him off? They never played here together.
The Cardinals have a decent O-line, actually, about middle of the pack. Both their guards are better than ours, and Paris Johnson at left tackle is living up to his draft status. I'm sure their line is rated way better than ours.Yes he had a wonderful game, total dominance, playing against a real bad OL helped some too.
PFF, for whatever its worth, rated ours higher than the Cardinals. The Cardinals have a decent O-line, actually, about middle of the pack. Both their guards are better than ours, and Paris Johnson at left tackle is living up to his draft status. I'm sure their line is rated way better than ours.
Sorry I usually catch those but that whooshed right over my head.I’ll be sure to begin each sarcastic comment with a disclaimer ahead of time just for you
