San Francisco has four QBs on their roster with Trey Lance, Brock Purdy, Sam Darnold and to-be-signed veteran Brandon Allen. While that quartet should be fine for the 49ers in OTAs and training camp, it won’t do them any good in rookie minicamp since none of them are eligible to participate.

The only players allowed to take part in rookie minicamp are drafted rookies, undrafted rookies, players participating on a tryout basis, and veterans on futures contracts who haven’t accrued an NFL season. None of the 49ers’ four QBs fit that bill.

Like the 49ers, all the Broncs Qbs are under contract including third string Jarrett Guarantano, meaning that there is no qb To throw the ball to receivers In rookie minicamp.
