Yeah, dress rehearsals are great. They could have done it for a quarter though. Instead they did it all game (even when facing Brady Quinn). McCarthy is a dink. I hope you guys play to the most boring tie in NFL history when you play them. Good luck!

LOL why do you think he pulled Rogers so quick, so he could be a "dink" with little risk. Glad he lost his little preseason running back, with his over the top blitzing agenda.

I would be willing to bet that if Green Bay was "game planning" against you it wasn't for revenge. It was because they face a very similar team in week 1 (power running team with mobile QB), and then RGIII in week 2. You were a dress rehearsal, I'd bet.
This is exactly what I was thinking.

Good lord, do none of you know that McCarthy gameplans EVERY preseason game? Other coaches hate it, and I thought this was a well known fact.

It wasn't so much the cheeseheads game plan that messed up the game as it was the officials. How can a team get in a flow with all the play stoppage? How is the oline supposed to block guys when they aren't allowed to touch them? Ridiculous hanky fest! If regular season games are called like that people will turn off.

I still wonder why they didn't run a couple more screens. When they did they worked well which is a miracle for Seattle teams of the past.

And it slowed the rush down for a few plays after. Guess they were letting our guys get used to it also.

I agree in theory but to be fair, you can use the same arguments that the Packers didn't game plan and were playing vanilla schemes as well. Neither team's coaches want to show their cards yet.

Whoa here Todd. Vanilla schemes normally don't include blitzing on every set of downs.

Matthews made a great point in an interview before the 2nd half start that this was great practice since they were going to be playing similiar style teams in their first 2 games.

I truly think the Pack did a lot more "game planning" than they would care to admit.
