It's only Wednesday.

My wife says to me yesterday, "what's up, you seem preoccupied"... I tell her, "Dammit, I wish it was Sunday. ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT is the Hawks in the playoffs."

I'm sure the rest of you are the same... this week I'm useless at work, ready to watch this game and see our Seahawks go to work on the road against the Redskins.

It's great to be a fan!!

agreed, for the first time since like 2007, that ive actually kept up with this team.

it was hard to root for during the T-jack era.

Same boat. I am comsumed by this match up. Unfortunately the media hasn't started analyzing it in any length yet and I need substance.

Same reason I stay off boards for years on end. (I was on a BBS via Dial-up modem back in the late 80's talking Seahawks). Yes a Dial-up modem, when speed was measured in Baud (1200 Baud in this case).

I consider myself a well reasoned, intelligent individual, but become a total nut-ball when the Seahawks look good, and a total head case when they are doing bad.

My wife has been glaring at me the past week, she knows where all this is going. (Though like a good woman, she will dress up my daughter and her in their pink Hawks Jerseys).

Always good to have support of the wife and daughter... I get the same treatment at home. She knows she's only got until early February at the latest to worry about this stuff! Although, I admit to probably not turning it off if the Hawks bring home the Lombardi trophy on February 3.

Tell you what as a 30 year Seahawk fan I'm more conditioned to enjoy the time BEFORE the game happens. And it's really enjoyable thinking about a Superbowl run.

Yep, I am stoked. In my gut I feel like we are going to the Super Bowl. I've said it since the beginning of the season to friends and family members. Now, they are on board.

Time to get's rolling...

Another enjoyable aspect of this season... Not once have I had to listen to "ya, but you are in the weakest division in the league..." Which let's be honest, was true for yearssssss. Not anymore.

It hurts me so much right now. Cause the high of us winning and going deeper into the playoffs is so good, that I keep trying to forget of the awful, disgusting, low of us losing this sunday. Its one and done from here on out. Thats a very hard thing to accept when your team has been doing so good. If we lose this game, or the next, or even the 2 after, the crash from the high will be dizzying. The season will be over, and the next big moment wont be till April.

I understand the sentiment of player safety and less games is better. But man, the anticipation factor when rooting for these teams is aggravating, I wish the seasons were longer.

My life is totally consumed by football lately. I am checking .net every free moment for any new news. To top it off, my wife and I are leaving on a party bus for a 1100 mile trip to Frisco TX for the FCS championship game. Gus Bradly's alma matre North Dakota State Bison are going for back to back titles.

So what are youse guys saying?

The Hawks need to hurry up and lose so you can get back to work??

:141847_bnono:

Better not cause I would have to change my desktop and avatar. I like this win streak cause it keeps those things easier then I wouldn't have to change them till next year.

Dang! I've been feeling the same as all y'all! It's like I wrote each post. This is like the week before the SNF game, but x10.

I quite enjoy weeks like this. Every five minutes or so, I'm thinking about this game. I've read every article about the playoffs, watched every online video. Re-watched the Rams game. The actual game itself will probably be pretty stressful and exhausting and there's always the chance it might be 'season over' afterwards. So I'm soaking in this week, just hoping I'll be doing the same again next week...

Holy crap you scared me, nsport!

I didn't know what to expect when I saw that thread title, but I held my breath and clicked anyway.
