Hankins is garbage, other than Reed, Williams and Murphy,1 our interior Dline is garbage. We have no depth. Our edge rushers have been sub par minus Nwsu of course, and our dbs other than spoon and love have been suspect at best. Macdonald will clean that up this off season hopefully.

That's my point, our lack of depth is due to carroll, plus I'm talking total defense anyway, not just the line. Maybe if carroll drafted a couple first round lineman instead if skill players we didnt need, we wouldn't be missing the playoffs for the second year in a row.

I dunno, I feel like better offensive line play and we win two more games, easy. And it’s not like we haven’t spent a ton of draft capital on the line, we have. But we’ve missed A LOT. Christian Haynes appears to be the latest big miss.

There was a long stretch after the 1st 4 games where the DLine and line backers to be fair was historicaly bad. How many points did we give up during that stretch? The OLine was/is horrible no doubt, but there was a long spell where the Dline was every bit as bad.

Yep, but that seems to have been largely fixed. At least such that we are not losing games as a result. The offensive line is still a dumpster fire, largely because of the guards and because Abe Lucas is struggling to stay healthy.
