Since, obviously, we'll be a desirable team for the Networks, are there any games that might be flexed this year?

Flexing begins in week 11

Week 11 vs Vikings
Week 12 Bye
Week 13 Monday night vs Saints
Week 14 at 49ers
Week 15 at NY Giants
Week 16 vs Cardinals
Week 17 vs Rams

The only thing I can see is if the 49ers or right the ship and are threatening us for the NFC West, that might get flexed. Any other ideas?

Week 14 is the only one I think has a chance as a good ol' fashioned rematch. It could have playoff implications for the 49ers as well if they are fighting for a wildcard spot.

They can only flex Sunday games to a Sunday evening time slot, can't touch Monday night games.

GO HAWKS!!!

Ya, sorry.....I wasn't suggesting that the MNF game would be flexed, just listing all the games week by week.

Also I think FOX protected the Week 14 game to ensure they'd have one of our battles with San Francisco on their network.

Can't see week 17 being Flex, unless Rams/Hawks jawing it out to be in the #1 spot on NFC West.

People are hoping that the 49ers have a big melt down and start sucking, If they do that there's no way Week 14 will be flexed, I even doubt there will be a chance because Falcons against GB is week 14 SNF, where it would be a nice matchup.

I would sure like to see one of those 10:00am games flexed, which on that list only leaves the Giants. Probably won't happen, I know. :229031_shrug:

Minus NO, that is a juicy looking schedule for Seattle.

Usually @NYG and @SF would worry me, but those teams look like garbage so far.

So many home games too, thanks schedule maker (for once).

Ya. I was originally hoping the Giants would be in the hunt, and thus the game would get flexed., which I suppose could still happen.... lol, no it won't. Giants are toast.

10am games can not be flexed. The only games that could be flexed for us is our home games. Since we are already primetime against NO, the only other games are division. Like others have said, possibly if were going for 16-0, but I doubt it.

I don't think this is true. Are you basing that on the language that says only afternoon games can be flexed? On the east coast, 10:00 AM PST games are afternoon games.

60%: 9ers
20%: Giants
10%: Rams
20%: No Flex

If one game will get flexed I'd say the 9ers' game will probably get flexed. I'd put that at around a 60% chance that it will get moved to SNF.

The New York Giants' game has a decent chance just because of ratings as long as they are in the hunt for a playoff spot and the Hawks are a top tier team.

The Rams' game has a small possibility if they are in the wildcard hunt and the 9ers continue to tank.

Cartire is right, only afternoon (1 PM Eastern time) games can be flexed.

(SORRY, THAT'S WRONG, JUST READ THE LINK...)

http://www.nfl.com/flexible-schedules

Keeping in mind that CBS and Fox each get to protect one game each week, and not have that game flexed... the possibilities are

Week 11 vs Vikings
Week 14 at 49ers
Week 16 vs Cardinals
Week 17 vs Rams

Given the protection angle, there's probably no chance the 49ers game is flexed. It'll be the game of the week on Fox. I would think there's a better chance of getting week 16 or 17 on SNF as we might be playing for HFA or NFC West title.

http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2013/SNF

There is no week 17 game penciled in, but week 16 Patriots vs Ravens is IMHO unlikely to get changed. Interestingly the week 11 game Packers Giants looks pretty crappy...

So yeah, there are a lot of things to consider, and one of them is what the current SNF game is, if that's a bad game, way more likely to get flexed.

I hope it's not the Vikings' game.

It's a long drive back to Spokane and I have to work in the morning, so I don't want get home at 2AM in the morning.

Whoops, reading that link earlier, more deeply, gives me this nugget

"For example, a game scheduled for a Sunday could move from a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to an 8:15 p.m. start, but the change would be made and announced no later than the prior Tuesday, 12 days prior."

The Giants game is actually the one I'm hoping for and would think it could be moved for the very reasons you mention. Rams I think might be the one, if any.
