Spinning this off from another thread relating to Bleacher Report.

Who are the Analysts/Reporters/Talking Heads most Seahawk fans Genuinely like. Looking more for national guys and not 710/KJR or people associated with Fieldgulls (I don't miss much of what Derek Stephens says).

I think Mike Mayock is the probably the most revered. Fans i talk to generally like Bill Simmons and Rob Rang. People seem to be turning the page on Colin Cowherd since he became a hardcore Wilsonite. I also really like Herm Edwards.

Who are some of your favorites from a Hawk's perspective?

I generally like Clayton, but am starting to prefer him as a writer. I can only stand hearing him say "Well let's put it this way" or "But also too" so many times.

Did we lose any games that Tim Ryan called this year?

I really like what Tom Jackson has to say. Wish he did more than just color for Berman. (or does he?)

I like Mike Mayock also, great color commentator.

I don't hate Gruden, especially after how he praised Wilson during the draft, but man, his commentating during the GB SEA game was a little irritating. I think he had a lot of influence on the Fail Mary debacle.

Mayock is my favorite on color. Gus Johnson is probably my favorite PBP. I know he's a love/hate guy, but I love how over-the-top he gets. Wish he did more NFL games. Every college game he does miraculously turns into a classic. Obviously, Michaels is always great, too.

I appreciate Simmons because he puts on for Seattle, but he can get really annoying too, especially on TV.

His problem is when he needs to discuss what he sees on the field in relation to what the the rule book actually says. Very few people outside of the referees and the competition committee have a good grasp of what is actually in the rule book. I do hear him say things like, "Well if that's not an "X" i don't know what is...".

Something of a general frustration with many color commentators to me. I think it's their job to know.

I will forever love Gus Johnson after he called this moment.

God I know. It's like some tick he can't help. If ever there was a worthy drinking game, it would be to take a drink every time Clayton says "let's put it this way" during a segment.

Bob and Groz have used it as part of their drinking game tally. It was absurd, like 15 times in a 5 min segment.

I wouldn't mind it so much if he didn't use it to avoid giving a straight answer to an honest question.

Detroit.

But I think he did somewhere around 7-8 of our games. Ive always like him. Hes very unbias and fair when commenting on either team.

Clayton seems to be aware of a lot of facts about all the teams in the NFL, but he needs to stay away from giving opinions because he is absolutely awful at analysis. A lot of his opinions that he states as outright facts -- e.g. Matt Flynn *will* be the starting QB for the Seahawks, Brady Quinn *will* be the second string QB for the Seahawks, etc., etc, etc -- are mostly wrong.

His claim to fame is having a lot of publicly available facts at his fingertips -- which was admirable before so much of it was easily available on the Internet -- but I don't think John Clayton is very smart. He certainly doesn't deserve the "Professor" nickname. Anyone who thinks John Clayton is so smart that he should be called "Professor" probably isn't very smart either.

I think Tirico is full of himself and I thought he was a chump to call the lackluster Seahawks/Browns game a pillow fight. Tough talk when you cannot hold a candle to these athletes.

La Confora is on my crap list with his "Good Riddance" post after the Bears dispatched the Seahawks after the Beastquake upset victory.

Schefter for his tweet wishing the previous weeks Seahawks vs Rams game had the power outage instead of the Steelers and 9ers game.

Trey Wingo for his elitist crap he has spouted the past few years regarding the Seahawks.

Yes I am a haterz. Now most of these same jokers are kissing the ring, but just let the team slip, more of the same crap heading this way.
