Unfortunately, Bailey is a fringe NFL player due to his lack of power or determination to sustain blocks. Cable was very clear about why he was not drafted, but he was also excited about continuing to develop him. He was even given the starting job in Super Bowl XLVIII as the sixth linemen in the jumbo package. Going into this season, Bailey had more experience than any other candidate at left guard and was the de facto starter before it became apparent that he had not improved in the way the coaches were expecting. The worst thing you can be as a fringe NFL player is a negative distraction, so I sincerely hope for his own benefit that this was not him acting childishly on twitter. Better players, with more fight in them than Bailey, have played themselves out of the league before.
