Harrison seems like a nice guy, but he's got the same brain disease that Jeff Chadiha suffers from. The kind where he never watches tape or looks up statistical evidence, instead reaching for his nether regions to pull out predictions. Note to Harrison: being edgy or against the grain only works if you know more than everyone else, not if you know less. If the Saints do beat Seattle Harrison will say "I told you so," when in fact he made a pretty stupid prediction and got lucky.

Special teams: Even (Editor's note: Dove into the numbers after seeing reader feedback. Seattle has some clear advantages, but I'm thinking the punting game will be the biggest factor. Thomas Morstead is one of the best in the business.)

Even this is disgusting. How many yards are we giving up on average per punt return?

Is Jon Ryan STILL not viewed around the NFL as one of the best either? Sheesh...

I was going to fricken say. And John Ryan is somehow garbage..? What about Jeremy Lane as a world class gunner. Just because we don't have to punt 18 times a game hardly means our punt team isn't more than capable of pinning you on the 3... Speaking of which, Ryan has 18 punts downed inside the 20, the great and powerful Morstead only has 17.

And what about NFL leading scorer Steven Hauschka? I don't think he scored all those points on the ground playing fullback. What about Golden Tate being 5th in the league in yards per punt return with 12 (compared to the next closest saint, Sproles, at 24 with 7 yards/return)? What about Percy Harvin being a god amongst kick returners?

But hey... Thomas fricken Morestead. WOW.....

I can't even fathom this. We are having one of the best special teams seasons in recent HISTORY, and that's with 1 return attempt from the BEST KR in football (Percy). I

Hit up his twitter and educate the man!

@Harrison_NFL

Apparently your campaign worked, he has changed his tune :th2thumbs: But he's still making excuses by saying Morestead is one of the best punters in the business. I guess it stopped reading before he got to Jon Ryan's stats.

He's arguing with me and Seahawks fans on twitter now about this, holding strong to his point. Only willing to argue two things though.

1) Moorestead is far better than Ryan
2) The Seahawks have had multiple ST gaffs this season (punt block vs SF, GB block vs Indy, hold fumble vs Tenn)

2/3 of those aren't relevant
-The SF punt block was after somebosy blew a whistle in the crowd
-The Tenn botched snap hold was due to the Haushka injury, with an emergency holder and kicker

But apparently Moorestead is the greatest special teamer of all-times, returning punts, tackling the kick returner after kicking off with his eyes closed just because he can....

Well, we are at home and I know for a fact that matters...and it's going to be BERSERK there Monday. I'll be there screaming like a banshee.
Saints not only have to contend with a jacked up Hawks team for this one, but a just as jacked stadium full of believers.

You still don't get it.

LOL, because hasn't been OFFICIALLY suspended yet? Or is it cause he was already injured? Or is it cause most of you have some sort of inferiority thin skin complex that causes you to get all worked up and band together like some crazed dysfunctional spite zombies raging against the biased media?

I think it's C.

"...the challenge the Hawks will face on Monday with the loss of Brandon Browner due to suspension."

There's the quote again just for reference. Nobody is disputing the 'challenge.' Browner was already lost due to injury and, YES, he hasn't been suspended, so they are wrong from a factual standpoint at least twice. Is it that tough for them to be accurate when all of the facts are readily available to even the average Joe Internet Surfer?

Love it how you blindly sided with shoddy job performance because of being overly fixated on appearing objective...LMAO!!

You guys are a sensitive bunch. You do realize that a large majority of people are picking your team to win, right?

So many people read the topic, then make up their mind what they are going to say before they even understand what is going on.

They look for a post that they can use to make their point but are so hell bent on pushing it that they don't read or comprehend the post and end up looking silly.

THIS. SO DAMN MUCH OF THIS!!

Been noticing that a lot around here lately and it is very aggravating-almost seems intentional until you realize there could be a legitimate deficiency in the ability to read and comprehend.

Amen BFS. Funny thing is, even after it's spelled out for them, they are so stubborn that they continue angrily down their predetermined path of futility. :34853_doh:

As they should. We are the best team in football, and we are at home.

Some of the national guys have this figured out. Others are slow to the party. This guy will get his education soon.

Sensitive? Nah. Amused by members of the media who are clueless? Yep.

I saw it and was slightly stunned. We have the #2 defense NO #5, We give up the 2nd fewest points per game NO the 5th. We score the 2nd most points per game, and NO score the 3rd most.

So we score more and give up less are playing at home but NO will win by 6 really?

"Can the Seahawks keep up with Brees's high powered offense?" Apparently the talking heads haven't heard that we have scored more points than them this season.

Exactly.

The Saints and their fans can downplay the weather all they want, but the fact remains that they are 2-6 over their last 8 away matchups that were played in 40 degree (or less) temperatures. Beyond that, we're as good a home team as there is, and play well in prime time in general. There's no guarantees in the NFL, but to argue that New Orleans has some kind of advantage heading into Monday night's game is ridiculous.

Sensitive?, uh, I think the word you were looking for, is 'sensiBLE'.
We had less overall talent when we beat the Saints last time they played here at the clink, so it's not going to be any easier for NO this time around either.

Because he wasn't going to be playing in the game in the first place. He's got a groin injury and the suspension had absolutely ZERO impact on this game.
