I heard this on YT. Can anybody conform? Excellent news, except for the one player I never cared for who won't be named.

D. Jones
Oops!

For them all to come back that would mean we don’t draft any defense (well one for D Jones) and that’s not happening. I expect there to be a few changes coming on defense, just nothing like what’s happening on offense right now.

If Nwosu is completely recovered from his injuries (which I think he is) he is one of the stars of our defensive roster, especially at that position. He and Mafe present a genuine conundrum for an offense to deal with. Then you have the interior on the loose. Our D is a really solid lineup. Used to be our backfield was our strength. Now it might be our softest area on D, but they aren't slouches either!

I just found out D Jones was released - WooHoooo! As for Nwosu, I think he's a + player if healthy and motivated, so I'd just as soon keep him. If we land a ++ EDGE at 1.18 I might change my mind.

That cut block injury he suffered during the first drive of game one really upset his season. Fans will be saying ..... O'yea. I remember that guy as he re-establishes himself in 2025.

A missing name, who has yet to sign with a team, is Johnathan Hankins who saw 8 starts on the nose as part of last year's starting rotation.

Hankins is a monster isn't he?

Yes, Johnathan Hankins is a big powerful and effective run stopper. He played 34.5% of the snaps last year. He was a very important member of the teams rotation last year. At 33 years old and 325 pounds, recovery from snap to snap and series to series demands monitoring. I have no idea where the teams analytics group graded Johnathan's recovery ability during the 2024 season.

I'd welcome his resigning. But, it's not my decision.
