All of you would hate me as an Owner/GM ..
No way am I paying $45 million for up to 18 games of work.
Great player but he's only one, I want a team of great together.
I'd do what the Cowboys did, trade him off for high picks ect.

Aw, Jerruh, don't be so hard on yourself. None of us here on this Seahawks fan site has to hate you. We love what you've been doing with the Cowboys. Keep it up!

I don't love it from a roster construction standpoint because when you pay a few superstars, it's going to restrict your ability to pay other players.

But Hutchinson is a great player, comparable to Micah Parsons in a lot of ways. And he's getting $2 million per year less than Parsons.

He's a guy who was on his way to getting 23 sacks last year before getting injured. He had 3 interceptions his rookie year. And he has four forced fumbles already this year. In 11 games so far, he has 8.5 sacks, 9 TFLs and 24 QB hits.

But, as the Cowboys found out, you can pay a couple of players big money, but not 3 or 4.

Unless you're the 40-whiners, of course.

He's due to earn $205.45M over 6 years, (including this year). $45M is in the final year which has no guarantees. Effectively it's $160M, (and change), over 5 years. Obviously the true average per year is:
Onehundred
