I'm starting to think shaheed gets a bag of money from the raiders. Theu need offensive talent and kubiak has been his oc at 2 teams before. If Horton is healthy that's not necessarily a disaster.

I'd love to see Shaheed back, but there is a price point. I don't think they give up the picks for him for purely a half season rental. It will be very interesting to see how this one goes.

I
I doubt they cut 3 of their secondary, but could see 2 leave. Bryant is most likely to warrant the salary the hawks won't be able to match. Woolen's street value may have taken a hit with his immaturity on display in the playoffs...so it will be interesting to see if MM/JS think he's salvageable. Jobe has the best chance to stick IMO. But WTF do I know?
I don't mind the concept of Woolen returning - but it better be cheap. If anyone offers him a bag - I'm happy with good bye.

See this is also what I'm thinking too.

Why give up those picks if you're just going to let him walk?

He's getting re-signed.

There is no doubt in my mind.

Because we needed him after injuries to our WR room. We won it all. Shaheed had a part in it. We don't have to resign just because we used draft capital.

Initially I thought we would resign but I think he gets a lot more than JS would be willing to pay.
WRs get paid a lot and its a very thin free agency this year.

You know what?

You're probably going to end up being right.

But until that happens, I say he gets re-signed.

I would really like to see the team bring someone in to compete with Anthony Bradford. Felt like we were playing with only four lineman at times this year.

Let Tariq Woolen walk. I hope someone else drops a bag on him. His play feels like its always offset by his lack of level headedness.

Lastly I would like to see Rashid Shaheed resigned. I think a full offseason with Sam would pay dividends in regards to his impact on the offense in 2026. Plus he is a threat on Special Teams everytime he catches the ball.

I'd love to see them bring back OT Josh Jones. Dude was a hell of a backup. Outside of that the oline, barring any upgrades, is pretty set. Best players locked up multiple years. Sundell only has 1yr remaining. Pretty nice, going to get that continuity that's been missing for so many years.

Cross 5 yrs
Zabel 4yrs
Lucas 3yrs
Cabeldue 3yrs
Richman 3yrs

Haynes 2yrs

Sundell 1yr
Olu 1yr
Kight 1yr
Bradford 1yr

Jones UFA

The rental helped win a championship.
For that is the ultimate goal, no?
They knew they had tough decisions to make before getting Rashid.
Couple mid round picks for a legit shot at a ring?
I think they'll sleep just as soundly should Sheed end up elsewhere.

I was 90% confident he’d get re-signed…now I’m 50/50. He’s gonna command high $$ and the Raiders will be willing to pay. Would love to keep him, but may just need to lean on Horton for those roles.

And a 4th & 5th to cement a Lombardi is well worth the investment.

I like Shaheed, but teams will never kick to him again. End zone kickoffs and high shorter punts.

Shaheed strikes me as a VERY modest person. He doesn't seem the type of have such a huge ego that he commands top dollar. Yes, he's definitely earned a solid contract but he personally said he wants to stay in Seattle. Not "stay with Kubiak", stay in Seattle.

I think John rewards him with a 3 year, 8 mill/per year contract, and he deserves it. Like another poster said, give him an off-season to build up a rapport and get some reps in with Darnold and he should be a lot more clutch for us as a receiver also and not just a returner.

I'm excited for the future.

The champagne is hardly yet drying on the trophy while celebration of vthis amazing and wonderful season continues with the roster presently in place until the new season by rule brings those changes.

Of course it’s normal for us fans to speculate on the various free agents and the new direction the team will take with who ever becomes the new OC but it is still just speculation. Many have solid ideas as to the direction but it’s very early days yet.

Money isn't everything, though.

If Shaheed goes to the Raiders or some other team, I would be very disappointed.

I know we have Tory Horton coming back from injury but Shaheed being there would basically bolster our Receiving Core with Horton back.

JSN on one side.

Tory Horton on the other.

Shaheed going deep down the middle/left/right.

This team would be far more formidable with Shaheed than without even if opposing teams never kick to him again. lol

I 100% agree with everything you've said. I just hope Shaheed see things the same. These players are not Seahawks fans like we are and an extra 3,5 or 10MM speaks to a guy who has a finite number of seasons in the NFL.

Weve seen it happen .

my gut feeling at this point:
Re-sign: Shaheed, Walker and either Jobe / Bryant (possibly both)
Let go in FA: Woolen [too many big plays given up and mental lapses to fit this defense], Mafe, possibly one of Jobe/Bryant
Cut: Kupp (I can't imagine we keep him given the contract size)
