The encouraging thing about his press conference was that he said he was trying to throw it at the ground for an incompletion but it bounced off the helmet of the defensive linemen. It sounds like he was trying to make the right play but just got unlucky. Also said that he could have also changed his protection and had Horton wide open so it sounds like he's in command of the offense. Glad I was wrong about him. I hope he continues this upward trend.

Sammy Smooth is currently leading the league in Yards Per Pass Attempt - just like he did last year.



That deep pass to JSN, and the other one to Dareke Young was a thing of beauty.

was going over, total luck for them.
I'm not going to bash the Qb for this one, if anything I'm blaming the D for playing
like it has no business playing in the NFL.
I hope Mac/John are really looking to make some trades.

It was bad luck. Had to offset the insane catch by Dareke. I have to say, Darnold has been amazing and it has been awesome to watch.

I have to eat crow. Don’t get me wrong. I loved Darnold last year but over the offseason I said resigning Geno was our best option. Trading Geno and signing Darnold has gone even better than expected.
