Not many players at his age could sit out a few years and come back and be effective. He is definitely an outlier, though, as he’s always been extremely physically fit and competitive. This will be interesting.

This has a better chance of backfiring than working out IMO. They already have two excellent DTs, so he'd just be a rotational guy. I don't know, it just seems like there is so much expectation being put on the Rams this year, that they're bound to disappoint.

Probably just start playing Dec 19, and ready for the Seahawks on the 25th.... Merry F'n Christmas!

By then I expect that our turnstile RG will either be greatly improved, or replaced. The rest of the o-line is greatly improved from when AD was actually relevant, so I expect his performance against the *Super Bowl Champion* Mighty Seahawks would end up fairly underwhelming.

Yeah. Jamming a bunch of stars on a team always works out really well. They may be the greatest team of all time - but it is equally likely that they shit the bed.

he's not returning...

IN the end IF the rams "welcome" him back, its because they're in pure panic mode and also regretting trading a YOUNGER version of Garrett in Verse.

Also out Oline isnt as bad as it was when AD played.

There are those Rams fans out there in Social Media who actually believe that Darnold fears Aaron Donald's return but I fired back with this "fun fact" :

Screenshot 2026 07 14 at 19 19 26 Has Sam Darnold ever faced Aaron Donald Google Search

So a year-removed from Sam Darnold's "I See Ghosts" the previous year (2019), he went up to SoFi with the shitty winless Jets and the shitty coach (Adam Gase) and BEAT the Rams with a then-29-year-old (in his f'n Prime) Aaron Donald. :ROFLMAO:

And he was only able to get a half-sack in that game on him.

Suddenly, I'm actually looking forward to Aaron Donald returning.

Sam beat him when he was in his prime so beating him when he's a washed-up, has-been Grandpa should be a cinch. 😤

Let them load up and throw their best punch. It will be all the sweeter when the Hawks parry and land the knockout counterpunch that lands the mighty Rams face down on the mat crying about some obscure rule that they now need changed because they should have won...because you know...they're the Rams - and because the media said they should.
