What on earth is Matt Bowen doing on Bleacher Report? The guy has written for two Chicago papers and ESPN amongst loads of other places. BR is so beneath him.

A few months back, CNN switched from having SI as it's sports page to BR. Since then it looks like they've gotten some better writers. At least good enough that I'll at least check it out.

Now, why they would switch from SI To BR in the first place is beyond me but I'm assuming it had to do with costs and I'll bet if someone did some research they'll probably find that whatever conglomerate owns CNN also recently purchased BR.

Which I guess kinda sucks that someone got rewarded for the sheer stupidity and ignorance that the site was full of prior too, but can't really fault them for their successes.

Turner Broadcasting purchased BR about a year ago, I believe.

Edited to add: Did you notice that Bowen talked about how Russ squared his shoulders when throwing the TD pass on the run? Same thing Brock has been talking about.

CNN's ratings have been going in the tank due to blatantly biased liberal slants/commentaries and a refusal to even report some news if it doesn't go along company political lines (yea, I know, how's it different than the other major networks?)

I'm guessing their purchase of BR was just a way of sinking the ship the rest of the way

Then again, BR couldn't have cost all that much, right ? :stirthepot:
