So, did any else here know that right now, the NFC West has the longest active streak of playoff teams with at least 1 playoff win? The '04 Hawks were the last NFC West team to lose their playoff opener. Since St. Louis beat Seattle in January 2005, these are the following NFC West playoff teams and their runs:

The second longest current streak for any division in the NFL is the AFC East, in which every playoff team has won at least 1 playoff game each year since 2011. Which means, the NFC West's current streak is 3 times longer than any other.

Also interestingly, in that time period every single team that has made the playoffs at least once outside of the NFC West, with the lone exception of the Houston Texans, has had at least 1 playoff appearance where they were 1 and done. Here is all the 1 and done playoff teams since 2005:

05: Bears, Bengals, Buccaneers, Colts, Jaguars, Giants
06: Chargers, Chiefs, Cowboys, Giants, Jets, Ravens

Your wording is a little ambiguous. If you're talking about all NFC West playoff teams not losing their first playoff game, then you are correct. However, if you're talking about having at least one NFC West team win a playoff game each year, then the Rams victory over us in Jan 2005 extends the streak.

This is the third year in a row we've put two teams in the playoffs too, although it'll probably also be the year that the Cardinals break the one and done streak.

Your wording is a little ambiguous. If you're talking about all NFC West playoff teams not losing their first playoff game, then you are correct. However, if you're talking about having at least one NFC West team win a playoff game each year, then the Rams victory over us in Jan 2005 extends the streak.

I understand what you're saying, but I personally can't count St. Louis in the streak as it was the same game as Seattle's loss (thereby the 04 season/05 playoff season) And arguably, can you say St. Louis started the streak since they won at the same time Seattle lost?

In 2009 the Patriots lost their playoff opener to the Ravens 33-14 and in 2010 they lost their playoff opener to the Jets 28-21.
