I hate the Panthers so much for trading him to the Niners. How STUPID do you have to be to trade a player like that and to make matters worse, you trade him within the conference. That's why they are the worst franchise in the NFL.

They weren't going anywhere, and McC was a fan favorite down there. They traded him to a contender out of respect for McC I think.
