Pressing on offense caused some of the Turnovers, open season and Russell getting blasted caused others, playijng from behind Wilson was forcing things I think, that's on him, getting blindsided and having fumbles isn't on him in my view, not knowing your going to get clobbered by a defensive player while your one handing the ball ready to pass makes it hard to secure, pulling it down and trying to tuck it as your falling and a defender is raking at the ball, he still gets the Stat but it really is a factor of O line and RB's giving him protection.

But we still put up winning point totals, 34 points in a loss with 4 turnovers says we were having success somewhere.

Russ certainly forced those 2 int's but I don't blame him for that final fumble. The right side of the line completely blew their protection and he got blindsided at full speed by a LB. Almost instantly too, that wasn't a long-developing play. He got hammered today and will likely continue to be with no run game to worry about and opposing coaches who know they can score at will so why not take some chances against Russ.

It's sad that 34 points on the road against a good D isn't enough for this trashcan defense.

I agree usually but the offense gave bills 13 points off turnovers on short field.

so the defense only gave up 31 points yeah that better...lol

If the defense could stop anyone the offense would not have to press so much

Marino put up great numbers, but lost to Kelly during the 90s because he had no run game. He wouldn't allow it bc he wanted to throw it. His coach was Shula who won SBs with Griese as QB. Could Wilson be like Marino and not allow a run game? Who called the pass instead of Lynch run? Wilson or Carrol?

Not with the OL.

We failed to adjust.

The screen at the end of the game was great, but I kept saying all game long when are we going to adjust and throw a screen to the RB or TE...? Why aren't we using a full back to block when our line keeps allow a penetrator? For several weeks we have tried running the same play back to back and just flipping side. Results have been bad, adjust and move onto something else.

This.

I didn't think the OL played bad at all today. The Bills were putting 9 men on the line to disguise where the blitzes were coming from. Starting down 17 points they knew we were going to throw it but I counted 1 screen, 2 bubble(without the bubble) throws to Metcalf, and 1 improv(?) roll out. No draws, option runs, or anything else to take advantage of the Bills blindly charging up the field.

That said, 34 points should still be plenty to win.

Neither. Bevell made that play call.
