I too doubt he was actually that slow. Not because of your Reddit (user submitted content) link though.

Ok fair enough. Kupp ran a 4.62.

He seems to do pretty well right?

If you actually read the post, there are links to sources cited.

You assume I didn’t check out the links? You do know one of the sources cited is a blog right?

Perhaps you missed the part where the GOAT commented on the 40.

The 40 doesn’t equate to football speed,” Rice said. “A guy could run a great 40, and then you put pads on him and he doesn’t have lateral movement or he can’t come out of his cuts. He just doesn’t have it.”

Regardless of what his actual time was, I don’t think I’ve read that he was below a 4.4….maybe that’s on a blog somewhere though.

Speed is great to have but it doesn’t make or break my opinion on a guy that can get it done.

Come to think of it, boys should be asked to run two 40s, one like how they are doing it today, and one more on pad, helmet, and holding a football?

All a WR needs is suddenness and fluidity. That’s enough to get off a press and away from a DB. Track speed helps you outrun someone but short area quickness gets you open.

Doug Baldwin comes to mind. Not the fastest in a straight line, but he could shake the very best CBs. See him vs. (admittedly an older) Champ Bailey in the Super Bowl.

One of the sources, sure, but even then it has cited sources. The other links on the page are also relevant. Not sure why you are getting so worked up dude, it's well known that 4.7 oft quoted is not accurate.

No issues. Appreciate the correction.

For the first week of preseason I literally thought we picked up a new tight end lol
He is almost like a tight end, he tries to block like scheme blocks, he missed one today though but it was a cool play if he had made it, he was like pulling like a guard almost and just barely didn’t get his guy but the guy he missed made the play.
