Keep in mind we won't be traveling to Candlestick to play a Thursday night game this year. If that were any other game time, I think we would have swept them last year.

I said this when we signed Harvin (and not many, if any agreed), but even without Harvin, I still maintain we will be cheering for SF by year's end. No way in hell do they win the NFCW.

Not knocking Turbin, but if he makes a routine catch in SF, we would have swept them last year (despite our terrible play). We'll get it this year....no question.

The Harbaugh led 9ers are right on schedule for their implosion. I just hope they have enough left to upset Atlanta. As much as I hate the 9ers today, I have a feeling I will be one of their biggest fans Dec 23rd.

I'm more worried about the Saints than I am Atlanta.

When the 49ers re-figure out how to run the ball and throw the slant successfully, they will be able to compete in Seattle.

Until then, not so much.

Kinda tough to throw the slant against inside leverage press cover.

So, they're pretty much doomed, then. Gore now sucks, LMJ is hurt, Lattimore is hurt (and always will be), and if Kaepernick throws a slant, SF receivers will drop it because they're always hearing footsteps.

They're 4-3 since that ass-whooping last year? That's a great stat. I would love it if our blueprint sentenced them to an 8-8 year.

This feels a lot like following the 2010 beatdown. Where it was so degrading, so embarrassing nationally that the Niners put an expected whoopin on the Hawks for making them look bad. I think the Niner are so inflamed that they will be more than prepared for the re-match. I just wonder what the teams will look like when they get there.

Update:
Including this week's 9ers' loss (27-7 at home against the Colts), they're 4 and 4 over the timeframe discussed earlier in this thread (since the Seahawk victory last year). They had a lot of off-field distractions this past week with Aldon Smith's arrest but it was a home game. So far this season, they've beat the Packers at Candlestick by 6 points and lost to us and the Colts by a combined 46 points. I don't think anyone's ready to anoint the Colts as clearly better than the Packers considering their squeakers v the Raiders and Dolphins in weeks 1 and 2. I think this adds credence to the idea that the 49ers are becoming more and more mortal each week.

I would think that the 49ers season might really depend on this next game v the Rams. It's in St Louis and they can probably afford to split their Division games. However, starting 1-3 with 2 division losses would be a big hurdle. I guess we'll have to see how lopsided it is. Remember, the Rams have the best record against the 49ers since Fisher took over at the beginning of last season. They tied at Candlestick and won in St Louis.

I am not counting the Niners out of anything until they have 8 losses. That is a talented squad that has lost their way. No Vernon Davis was a big deal. IMO, Roman Gabriel and Jim Harbaugh are not on the same page with what they want to do.

"Roman Gabriel"? Was that meant as a joke?

No, that was my brain and names. Greg Roman. I once typed his name as Roman Roberts, fortunately I caught it. Roman Roberts was a high school class mate, haven't seen the guy in 24 years. I'm bad with names.

Every time I type Derrick Coleman I have to double check to make sure I didn't type Brandon Coleman. It's downright Freudian.

I always eff up the owner of the Bengals. I get him confused with the writer Dan Brown. I have no idea why.

So, it seems like most of the 49ers fans that are putting out excuses for Kaepernick are centering around the fact that he hasn't yet started 16 games; he's still very inexperienced. This past Sunday against the Colts was his 13th career start, playoffs included.

Sorry 49ers fans, that crap doesn't fly. You know what Russell Wilson did in his 12th & 13th starts? The 12th saw him do a 90+ yard drive in Chicago to take the lead at the end of the 4th quarter, and then an 80-yard drive for a TD in overtime to win. His 13th start saw him win 58-0, and he was putting such a whooping on the Cardinals, he was benched so Flynn could get reps 5 minutes into the second half. Then he put up another 50-burger at Buffalo in his 14th start; and he didn't have the experience of playing through the playoffs and the Super Bowl at that point like Colin has now.

No excuses. ESPECIALLY since Douchebaugh is supposed to be the QB Whisperer.

One last bit; he rode the pine for a YEAR-AND-A-HALF behind Alex Smith. Plenty of time to work on mentally preparing for the NFL.

How did most of us ever think Kaepernick is equal to Wilson, or close to it? Jesus. I'm sorry, @DangeRuss. It'll never happen again.

You think your bad with names? My wife (whats her name) is always complaining about my memory. Personally I just think she is being mean. I don't remember forgetting anything.
