Normally when I link a pregame post that is spot on, someone gets pissed and asks me if I want a cookie.

I'll take chocolate chip.

From this link: http://www.seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 2#p1565662

Shane Vereen is the one player I fear most of the Pats. Of course if he is inserted the lineup, his mere presence may telegraph their intentions, but covering all the other receivers plus Vereen will stretch the Seattle coverage to it's limit. Absolutely no margin for error.

In my opinion, they could insert Vereen for the entirety of the game and throw delayed wheel routes all day long. Nickle and dime their way down the field. I haven't wrapped my head around how Seattle can stop it. Perhaps a second half adjustment would be to insert a dime package to counter when Vereen is in the game. Consider him to be an extra wide receiver (which he really is). I consider it the same as the Packers using Randall Cobb in the backfield.

The Patriots will have to make a few mistakes (penalties) to create predictable long yardage situations.

Losing Jeremy Lane was big. How they hell does that happen? smh

Okay I will make it simple, it was not the defenses fault they played great, you cannot expect the #1 defense in the league to hold a 10 point lead with 1 qtr to go. Its not Kearses fault you cannot expect a Wr to catch a ball that hits his hands, its not bevel faults you cannot expect the OC to call a run play in an run situation, This is all Wilsons fault and this is why we should let him go we do not need him. :sarcasm_off:

Even with the 28 points, we were on the doorstep of winning the game.

That's why the 28 points are not the real reason we lost.

It's plain as day. The real reason we lost is because we didn't run the ball from the 1 yard line. Don't try to overcomplicate it. That's the reason we lost. The 28 points didn't matter in the moment before that playcall.

We had dinged up DB's and they were playing more pure coverage then physical, we also allowed Brady to work the underneath and have to be accurate, we played good enough to win, we had the game. The play calls in the 4th quarter were head scratching. We threw the ball when we were killing them on the ground and had three and outs, we threw the ball on the goal line when we have the best back in the league and 4 attempts to score.

If you are being sarcastic but the thingy in your post.
If you are intentionally trying to stir up crap, consider this your only warning.

Outside of the obvious, there are two plays that will haunt me when I think of this game that could have allowed the Hawks tot totally take control

1. The pass down the sidelines that Kearse couldn't come up with. I couldn't tell if the defender got his hand in there or not. If that leads to a FG, even if the Pats still score their TDs, we just need a FG on that last drive to win. A TD on that drive makes it a 17 point game and might put it out of reach.

2. The 3rd and 14 completion. No rush up the middle allowing Brady to step up and find Edelman. Ends up as a TD drive. Force the punt there and we still have all the momentum with about 12 mins left and a two score lead.

I guess for every play that we say that, had the Hawks won at the end Pats fans could look at one or two plays the other way. It was one of those games...sigh.

We've never won with Pete when we give up 28 points except in the Beastquake game.

As frustrating as it was to watch the Pats march down the field on our Defense it all didn't matter when we are 3 yards away from taking the lead with 20 seconds left on the clock in the superbowl
