Also to mention, they didn't have any CBs on future contracts (kinda PS guys). So drafting Dansby that late makes sense when you want the guy and don't want to miss out on him during UDFA signings.

Maybe all these DBs they added this off-season and now the draft + Emmanwori being a better suited chess piece means they trading Spoon straight up for Crosby. Wouldn’t love it but don’t necessarily hate the thought either.

I mean yeah it was like 75% an impulsive thought dripped in sarcasm but there is like 25% that is questioning some underlying truths. I love everything about Spoon’s mental game: football intelligence, fearlessness, confidence, and moxie but physically speaking he’s a mismatch liability in man coverage and I’m definitely wary about giving him a big top market multi year deal to a player that tends to throw his body on the line with such reckless abandonment at his size.

So they say but some also say that Ravens punted Crosby when they could just sign Hendrickson.

Also, Im just bargaining for the sake of bargaining to fill dead space, Im not necessarily being serious, if I was being serious I wouldn’t be talking about this in a Michael Dansby thread. And I would have provided way more context to the above trade and stated my reasoning likely in a long winded drawn out post.

But realistically speaking, Spoon doesn’t have to be involved in the trade and probably won’t be again I was more having fun and just shit-posting.

However, you should be prepared just in case for the Seahawks throwing some high picks + probably Nwosu for Crosby, they tried with Smith and Metcalf last off-season, they likely tried at last year’s trade deadline, and they probably tried again this off-season. It just seems like a matter of time especially considering in the Fowler thread that a mystery target is being explored.
