Great pick, worth the 4th, Iowa is an OLine factory. Creates true competition at RG, insurance at LG. Floor is solid backup that can step in without losing much, ceiling is solid starter. Needs a little refinement but good in zone and a bit of a glass eater.
Multi sport athlete who had his best year at LG in 2025. If he doesn't beat Bradford out initially, he likely makes noise it camp and sticks on the 53.

Good pick. One of the reasons I was annoyed we passed up Dunker was because it seemed like the board felt like it fell perfectly for us getting a quality offensive lineman who fits our system from that program. Glad we made a move to get another.

Bradford is in his contract year, Haynes isn't pushing anyone and Stephens is already behind Zabel on the depth chart.
I feel better about our run-game and Darnold's protection in the pocket with this pick.

So they traded a 4th from next years arguably better draft for a 5th in this years weaker draft? I hope this guy is worth the draft capital.
Is next year's draft expected to be worse in the mid-rounds? Usually when people talk about "draft strength" they're talking about the top tier.

Regardless, this is one player, not a whole draft.

To the people who are upset, you have to party when you have a window... because the window will only last so long.

Imagine next year when Bradford is standing tall and the defender strolls around him and gets a sack, and you say "Yeah, that may have happened twice today, but at least we have a 4th round pick next year.

In time, you will like the choice

To add to this, how do the two drafts compare IN RE IOL players? I kind of hate the whole strong draft/ weak draft terminology. Every draft has unique areas of strength and weakness.

In this case, our GLARING weakness, before the off season, free agency losses, was IOL. Mortgaging the last pick of the 4th round next year, for a mid-fifth rounder this year, to upgrade this area, seems wise.

Extremely short arms for a guard at 31 1/8 inches. That's 1st percentile.

Tells us that Benton does not give a rip about length if the guy has the right background and tape.
