My theory is, with only 4 picks, they decided to focus on replacing players they lost in FA, and next year, when they have a bunch more picks, they'll focus on the successors to Leo, Lawrence, Reed, Bradford, etc...
Got to assume they sign a veteran edge like von miller or cam Jordan as a mafe replacement for this year and draft a long term ine next yezr

who's out there nursing a injury they could grab late, where we clean up usually and get value for next to nothing.

Cam Jordan seems like the perfect fit to me. Older guy who wants a ring and can rotate in to stay fresh at his advanced age. Address the D line next year when we have a ton of picks in a deeper draft. There is some guy out there that hasn't played football but is a physical freak and is working to be a DE. Anyone know who that is? I can't remember his name but his physical stats were off the charts....maybe an UDFA or last pick and see what he's got?

He won't be there when we pick (at least I don't think so) but you asked a question and I gave an answer.
Crazy how far this guy has fallen. His knee must be really effed up. He was supposed to be one of the top 3 CB's in the draft. Ranked #19 by DJ leading up to the draft. Really sucks for a guy who committed his life to football and got an injury at the worst time possible. Hopefully he made some NIL $$.

Good write up on Neal

"He’s not a finished product, but he’s exactly the type of Day 2/Day 3 prospect that smart teams develop into starters.

And in the right system, with the right coaching…

Julian Neal might end up being one of the more overlooked contributors from this draft class."

I don't think he'll have to worry about that in Seattle. 😉
