Seeing Carvalho to Arsenal instead of Khedira.

Gate, which one would you want?

I'd say Khedira cause I've seen him play and would know what's coming into the squad. I do recall Carvalho playing for Portugal in the World Cup, but I didn't pay much attention to Portugal outside of the match vs the US.

It also appears that Arsenal are on the verge of signing Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina from Nice. It'd be an interesting signing to say the least but he did perform well at the World Cup.

I sawFabianski over the weekend speaking of Arsenal. Was warming up in front of us and deflected a ball off a beer. Picked it up and handed it to the owner. My buddy (Arsenal fan) asked him if it was heavier than the FA Cup... Fun stuff. Good guy

You have no idea what you are talking about, why does Debuchy start for France then over Sagna?
Debuchy is slightly better again. Both aren't that good! If you had watched France games during the World Cup you woulda realize that our RB and LB were liabilities!

So is Sakho better than Koscielny then?
Same. I haven't seen any level differences between them in the French national team (except Sakho is more physical than Koscielny).

But you know what? No matter who you put right next to Varane, he will look good!

So Liverpool need Varane and not Lovren?

Lovren? Damn I have lost track on him after he left Lyon... He used to be sober (nothing really impressive but efficient) while he was playing there. Oh! And that was painful to watch when he was positioned RB.

Concerning Varane, well let's be reasonable my friend. Varane is already playing for Real, and I don't think that would be affordable.

At end of the day, I was just trying to say that Varane makes look Sakho a little better IMO. Doesn't mean that Sakho is not good. He is a team player and gives 100% on the field. Eventually, he has a really touching story... His father passed away while he was a kid. His family and him became tramp. He overcame all of these challenges to become professional. I got a lot of sympathy for him.

Hummels to United is a pending move I've seen talked about a bunch. Would be the first of 1-3 big signings I think.

Can't see why Dortmund or Hummel's would do that to be honest...

Sober and efficient sounds perfect

Schneiderlin would rather join spurs to be with his old boss than Arsenal.
Sorry to recall this. I highly doubt this statement!
Just relaying the reports I read.

:)
Oh I see... The thing is if he plays for Arsenal he would probably secure a spot in the french national team.

"Both will be here next season... €20m? When it's those numbers you know it's garbage" - Jürgen Klopp on Reus and Hummels.

Have to love Jurgen.... Still Dortmund's not afraid to sell.

Anyone want to take on summing up the targets, ins and outs of their respective teams? quick summaries?

Liverpool Outs: Suarez (confirmed), Aspas (confirmed), Assaidi (confirmed), Wisdon (loan confirmed), Borini (bid accepted, waiting on player), Toure (rumored bid by Turkish club). Possibles: Reina, Lucas, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique

Ins: Lallana (confirmed), Lambert (confirmed), Markovic (confirmed), Can (confirmed), Remy (having medical, fee and terms agreed), Lovren (rumored fee agreed).

Rumored links: Manquilo (RB, Atleti, loan deal), Moreno (still cant complete deal), Origi (rumored to be on way for medical, loan back to Lille), Bakkali (rumored, with possible loan back to PSV, but apparently they arent fond of him),

Fantasy land: Reus (you heard Klopp), Di Maria (why not, he's leaving Madrid), Isco (same as Di Maria)

Other names: Griezmann, Lacavette, Yedlin, anyone else currently rostered on Southampton

Man United has been linked with Juan Cuadrado.

Ive heard Barca for him...which actually makes sense for both parties.

Know much about him? 2nd choice right back at Atleti is all I know (and a highlight of him getting dumpster trucked by Ronaldo)

Interesting for us... loan deal for a right back would mean that either Johnson is gone and Flanagan is moving into his place, or Enrique is staying, the Moreno deal is off and Flanagan will provide cover to the left.

I dont mind the first scenario. the second sucks.

I honeslty think this was more one of those moves to stop a rival - Arsneal in this case - from getting him. Fergie used this tactic to great effect many times in the past.

I dont know about that... not the Rodgers' style to be honest. He has to have some value to us outside of preventing Arsenal (who just signed Debuchy) of getting a loanee backup.

According to all reports I've read, he is the future of the Spanish National Team. Think about Azpi! Maybe, there would be a door open after this season to purchase him.
