Haven't seen this one come up, yet, so excuse me if I missed it.

Before we get to training camp, I'm curious about the .net temperature on this one. Who do you think is going to take a big step forward this season. For somewhat obvious reasons, that means no rookies, though I think free agents/traded players (*cough* Harvin *cough*) can grab an honorable mention.

For me, it's going to be James Carpenter. All 16 games this year, and he's going to be a bull in a china shop made of defensive linemen.

I want Carpenter to be the winner, but I have my doubts still. I just dont know if a guy that big can maintain without injury.

My hope is Sean McGrath to be a breakout player. Fill the role that McCoy played with his big play catches and touchdowns. (which was odd for stone hands.)

I'll go with Sean McGrath. Last year he was an undrafted rookie FA from the a small school, on the practice squad. This year he could be pretty significant piece of Seattle's 2-TE and Jumbo sets.

I'm going with Bruce Irvin in his new role.

I have a feeling that he will come into Game #5 against the Colts totally rip off a great game.

I'm predicting two sacks of Luck for Bruce, one for a strip fumble and recovery.

Obvious choices.... Bruce Irvin, Malcolm Smith, JR Sweezy, James Carpenter, Walter Thurmond (health wise), Red Bryant (would love to see him get back to 2011 levels), and lastly, Russell Wilson... because no one works harder to get better.

Can I say our secondary? I know if they get any better no one will question how good they truly are. Carpenter I want to see him plow the defensive guys into the stands.

For the success of the team I hope it's carpenter sweezy or toomer. Toomer giving us depth.
Don't think Thurmond needs a big leap to improve, he just has to stay healthy.
I met mcgraths parents at a bar in Atlanta after the playoff loss and they were great, so for them I hope their son becomes big contributer.

I think Sidney Rice is going to be set up to have a huge year and be our first 1000 yard receiver in a while.

Russell Wilson. Book it.

If this is true, and he is the most improved. You can book a Super Bowl victory and an Season MVP.

That being said, does anybody know if a player has ever won MVP their second year in the league? Im sure there has been, but Im unaware of it.

Marino's 1984 MVP comes to mind, and that was only his second year in the league. (I just finished reading Field Gulls where this was mentioned, so it was fresh in my mind.)

Doug Baldwin will bounce back and have a great season.

+1. He seems to want it so badly , that I am sure he will be in great shape and health.
I look at him as Burleson 2.0 for RW
