I concur with having as even a season as possible for every team. Home field in the early part of the season is a bigger advantage than late season home field advantage so any team starting with 2 home games and finishing with 2 road games would have a big advantage. The NFL should be looking to get as close to HRRH RHHR as possible in its scheduling.
With a 17 game season all home for 1 conference in the 17th game was less unfair than the alternatives.
Pacific Time teams are obviously at a geographical and jet lag issue disadvantage with 5 Eastern Time games 3 years out of 4. If those teams want to play back to back Eastern Time games so they can stay out East for the week then they should have that opportunity. If they specifically don't then it should be avoided in the scheduling where possible.
