Baker played lights out.
He took what we gave him.

A soft Zone scheme that was full of holes.
Baker is good enough to see and take advantage of those opportunities.

Although I have no actual idea, I believe MM was worried about letting the back ups play “man”.
I believe he planned what he felt gave us the best chance but it wasn’t enough.

Maybe some man, and a few blitzes would have made a difference maybe it would have been worse.

I appreciate MMs defensive mind, I certainly couldn’t do better.

I think most of us predicted early on, that the last team to have the ball would win.

IN regard to the man D take...that definitely could have been MM's reasoning. But man - I'm not sure the guys would have been any more wide open than they were in that wide open zone. He probably should have tried to mix in some man like you said.

I think if he had to do things over again, he would've blitzed more often 'cause we saw that when he did blitz, he got to Baker (once on a Bell sack and the other on a Nick Emmanwori QB-Hurry where Baker threw the ball incomplete).
