Some teams have had their first 15 scripted plays for week 1, planned for months, now with new information it's a week to week thing. The real season starts now.

Kubiak just needs to call the offense he said he was going to run. That's it. And we have downfield weapons in Horton and Arroyo. Move the pocket and use them.

Honestly, this felt as if I had been preparing months for my first calculus test...but then showed up to it completely stoned. It made no sense.

It often is. Plenty of teams lost games they had a chance to win. Overreaction is the jam, and that's fine. Esp. when you had a chance to knock off the a holes.200

I think that's what frustrated me most. We had an opportunity to finish it on the final drive and boom..all blown to hell. Reminded me of a certain Superbowl..except slightly different circumstances...

And it's ok to tip your cap to a ridiculous football player making a game saving play. He pushed Lucas right into the ball, nothing new for that guy. Great players make great plays, exactly what he did. And that was the ONLY sack of the game for Santa Clara. Ugh

That's true.

It ignores the fact that the OL overall with Zabel and company (that same OL the pundits said Darnold would get crushed by because it's sooooo "terrible") played near-perfect (at least when it came to Pass-blocking).

Anyway, that Lucas/Bosa/Darnold/Fumble fiasco wouldn't have occurred if a certain defensive player bothered to make an EASY pick off of Brock Purdy "Duck" that he threw up for grabs.

When that pass first left Purdy's hand, I thought he was just throwing it away, out of bounds. It was thrown with little zip or rotation had too much loft on it, kind of a wounded duck of a throw. I was stunned that one of his receivers caught it. There was no excuse for that not to be defended. It was an easy defend.

I haven’t been this disappointed and distressed after a Week 1 loss in a long time. Yesterday’s loss was a major gut punch.

This team is flat out bad. Outside of Leonard Williams and Ernest Jones, our defense is filled with holes. The offense is even worse.

I’m very depressed with other issues in life, and football is supposed to be a form of escape entertainment, but man…this team didn’t help at all.
That's incorrect; this is a top 5 defense. After the bye last year, they ranked in the top 5. They improved during the offseason. Offenses usually lag behind defenses early in the season, especially with a new system. Remember when everyone wanted the last offensive coordinator fired? As I predicted, in 4-6 weeks, you'll all be calling for this guy to be fired too.

I see week 1 as the 4th preseason game. Most teams aren't playing their starters or top players. So the rust is glaring that first week. It showed for the Seahawks on Sunday. Hopefully they improve but their division rivals have a patsy early schedule compared to theirs. The Cards got Saints (barely beat them) and this week they have the Panthers. Can you get a more favorable schedule to start the season?

While our D wasn't perfect Week 1, it did showcase some pretty damn nice things, and we came agonizingly close to winning due largely to their efforts. Hold onto your hats, we will see our D as a huge factor in a bunch of wins this season.

Even IF they lose on Sunday, I'm not panicking one bit. It's a long season.

Right! No one panic until playoffs..unless by some miracle the Cowboys are on the verge of going to the Super Bowl and the Seahawks are knocked out. I'm sorry..am I having a stroke?...Cowboys on verge of a Super Bowl run :ROFLMAO: I'm sorry, where were we? Oh yea, no one panics@!

It hurts to lose to those hated 9ers like that. Kind of like when they beat us back in 2019 at the goal line. It is pissful that Purdy got a td on that wounded duck. Still lots to be excited about. It used to be a multi score blowout when we plaid them. They got out by the skin of their teeth this time.
