The Seahawks Need to be Careful (Upcoming Draft)

We do have to remember that the Seahawks have been a perennial playoff team and have traded away a lot of draft picks. I’m not sure how many folks think Hall of Fame defensive players come out of the later rounds but it’s not many. It is surprising that we haven’t drafted better at linebacker...

"He does what you tell him" Carroll on Geno in Waldron system

To some extent all QB’s get figured out. It’s what you do about it after they adjust. But a run game that puts you in 2nd and 5 goes a long way.

Should we use our draft capital for a “top college QB”?

And the Chiefs traded up to 10 to get Pat Mahomes when they had Alex Smith. I’d rather swing for the fences and miss then be a middle of the road team. If we aren’t trying to find the best QB we can get then what exactly are we doing?

Could Geno be pulling a Rich Gannon?

No need to get dramatic here. I’m talking about over the last ten years or so and even those numbers have been skewed a bit by Tom Brady taking less money. The QB market has changed dramatically over the last five years. The guys that elevate their teams even on a bad day or with average...

Should we use our draft capital for a “top college QB”?

One advantage is that this pick will be made by the organization and not the owner. Too many times the owner of a crappy team forces the team to draft a certain guy at qb.

Could Geno be pulling a Rich Gannon?

They’ve given up more points in the first four games then anyone else in the history of the NFL. Geno is being paid like a backup I’m not sure what this proves. You aren’t going to find lightning in a bottle every year with a backup QB. The surest way to be in the mix for a SB every year...

Could Geno be pulling a Rich Gannon?

Lions are 30th in the NFL in defensive spending. With a RC middle linebacker.

Should we use our draft capital for a “top college QB”?

37 years of watching football and 15 as a player for me. If he does this to the Rams defense I’ll change my opinion. I can see the difference between Patrick Mahomes and Geno Smith. If you can’t I’m sorry there is nothing I can do for you.

Should we use our draft capital for a “top college QB”?

I’m taking a stance. Unless you’re marching out a stellar defense it’s not happening. Geno can run the offense but he’s just a guy. Let’s not overreact to a good performance against the Detroit Lions. A team on the rise but a team that hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in a decade. I give a lot of...

Should we use our draft capital for a “top college QB”?

I think you have to ask yourself is Geno going to win you a SB. The answer is no. He’s not going to lose games but he’s also not going to win them. Of course we try to draft a QB of the future. If we have to bring in a veteran to compete with a rookie and go from there. Not sure on DL’s...

Seahawks currently on pace for a TOP 3 pick

Early word is that this could be the best and deepest QB draft in many years.

    Abe Lucas

How long have we been searching for a good right tackle. Seems like we may have something in AL.

    Abe Lucas

Demarcus Lawrence went right by him. He’s good but not great at 30. His pass blocking was horrible.

    Lions forums....

The Lions are a young high effort team. It will be interesting to see how the Seahawks respond. There has been some loafing on defense and the worst offender is Darrell Taylor. I think he will see fewer snaps this week. Especially on first and second down.

    Brooks, Diggs, Barton, Ford, Taylor

DT isn’t affecting the QB enough to justify his liability as a run defender.

Really impressed by this O Line

Ikem Ekwonu is a project. Especially in pass blocking. Cross is a much more polished pass blocker.

    2023 Draft Position

If we are going to stick with the 5 man front we need to draft a monster OLB who can get after the QB on third down.

    Running the ball didn’t work

We knew the 49ers were going to run the ball and they ran it just fine. The answer is not to throw the ball more. But we can’t be in 2nd and 12 and 3rd and 11 all day.

RW was using the same hand signals as in Seattle

Those were actual play calls. These are just route changes. Might be helpful if we had a veteran secondary. Most of our guys are just learning the basics and relying on athleticism.
