Would Goff be better than Geno on this team?

    Baldinger on Tyrice Knight

It's an underrated skill/instinct in RBs/WRs with the ball in their hands. Too me, it's most notable when they need to get 2 or 3 extra yards for a first down. The guys that have it, cut upfield and go through the defender before he has a chance to square his shoulders and brace for contact...

    Geno Believer Yet?

I'm late to this thread, but I think there are many fans, nfl, and media people that won't budge on their opinion of Geno that carried over from his early career. Anything short of an NFC Championship run would likely be brushed off as a fluke, even if it came with this bad run game and poor...

    Russ Earned My Respect Back

It is a perfect spot for him. I expect their playoff results to look eerily similar to ours post 2018-ish. If either the defense or running game falters, they'll look really bad

    Danny Dimes benched

I'm sure they'd still rather have him than Geno

There's a gap the size of the grand canyon between your "pretty well" and "God's gift".

    Geno Smith the headcase

He's a bit too "Hood" for a lot of people. Imagine the contract he would get on the open market if he was 30 instead of 36 or whatever he is. The steelers would be deadly with Geno. The Lions would be at worst the same, likely a bit better cause he moves better than Goff.

    Geno finally put it together

It's very clear that people mostly watch highlights of the rest of the league or watch games, but don't actually pay attention to what's happening. There are zero QBs who don't make at least 2 or 3 mistakes a game that either result in turnovers, almost turnovers, or kill drives. Most QBs make...

    Geno finally put it together

It's the NFL. Most games come down to a 2 minute drive.

    “Here we gooooooo…”

I noticed that Rush was doing it also. I imagine it's purely for continuity sake. It's dumb.

    Thats our QB!

It's not a processing issue. He's a passer. His instinct is never to run. That's a new tool in the toolbox for him. His brain doesn't reach for that tool automatically when a play breaks down. He's not a running back learning pass, he's a QB who can run, learning to run

    Thats our QB!

I don't mind the picks. With no running game and a bad defense (until recently), we aren't scoring unless he pushes the envelope. It's either that are we get blown out. If the defense proves consistent, he'll need to dial it back a bit and make sure we get at least 3 in the red zone etc.......

    JSN, another 100+ day

Agreed, but he can't. I don't think you can retrain your natural instinct at his age/stage. That has to be done by late teens at the latest

This is why DK will never reach full Megatron level status. Watching him jump to catch a ball in his belly and have it bounce out was maddening.

He's playing safe. Safe and good are not the same.
