    Would you believe it....

If you look at it, our points, yards and rushing yards have trended up every week so far. Some of the upward trending can be attributed to the opponent, but it shows a similar curve to other years for our offense (excluding last year, where our rush yards never really improved). We're...

    The Blair Walsh Project??

Exactly. Could be worse. If he has his head in it and remains durable, it will be a good hire. He was one of the better kickers in the league before he lost his mindset. He's similar to Olindo Mare. Smaller guy but gets tremendous leg swing and speed. This might cause him to slip a bit on...

Who do you guys want to see next week? Rawls or Lacy?

Rawls and McKissic in the first half, and Lacy to pummel them in the 2nd.

    Odhiambo hospitalized .....

I feel bad for calling him soft a couple of games ago. Gotta be pretty tough to play with a bruised heart.

    Richard Sherman's Play

I think Hilton had one catch on Sherman for 11 yards. That's ridiculous. Hilton is a top 10 WR, and he's also the quicker, shiftier, faster WR that typically gives guys of Sherman's body type trouble. To erase him like that, your technique needs to be perfect. Sherm is also the best...

    Carson injury

Man that's good news. They wouldn't let him walk on it if they even thought it was fractured. It sure looked worse than that. I thought his season was done for sure when I saw that play.

    It was the Colts

They changed scheme in 2015. I'm seeing similarities here: a team that can pass block at an average level but struggles to run the ball at any level. The good news is we have much better skill position players than we did in 2015.

    It was the Colts

The Colts are no where near the worst team in the league. They might not even be a bottom five team. This negative Nellie crap needs to slow down. Winning in the NFL is never easy, especially with a flawed team, but there's not reason to start making crap up. We can't change our OL. All we...

Why are we so awful in the 1st half?

Good point. It's also easier to conservatively probe a team when you have a defense like ours. We're a better 2nd half team, but that seems facile. We're a MUCH better 2nd half team. it's very significant and it's the biggest difference in the league. Adjustments are likely a big part of that.

    Russell's stats (Past 2 games) - R-E-L-A-X

First of all, I don't see a lot of "hate" thrown his way. People are being critical, which they have a right to be. Secondly: it's not his fault, but the OL is still hot garbage. They're improving in pass protection, so i don't doubt we'll see something like the last half of the year 2015...

Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread (Colts @ Seahawks)

We'll win, but as inconsistent as this team is, no way I'll get the score right. I think we'll score 30 or more on Indy. Late game, Prime Time. We dominate these games. Folks are saying this team is pissed. I hope so, but so far I haven't seen evidence of much fire from this team. I have...

    Revisiting the 2016 draft

Any post where someone is qualifying a player as a "bust" when we're not even 1/4 of the way through his sophomore year loses me right off the bat. You can have quality analysis, cogent reasoning and solid statistics but if you start out there I'm done reading. I will leave you with this...

    But.... we start slow...

NE doesn't annually replace 3 starters on their OL. We're always looking for better talent and use a lot of projects so we have too much turnover on our OL. This leads to us typically taking about 6 games to find our footing and figure out where we are as an offense. I'm more worried about...

    Free Eddie!!!

It's also Lacy needing more time in the system. Looking at tape of the GB game, Lacy left a lot of yards on the field with making the wrong reads, hitting the wrong hole, and even cutting back into tacklers and not using his downfield blockers correctly. It's no coincidence that they took him...

    Interesting take on Pete Carroll.....

If you look at the numbers, Lynch was more productive in terms of ypc and in terms of yards gained before contact when we went 3 wide and single back. When we went to a fullback, or ran with double TE's, we weren't nearly as effective running the ball. So this speaks to the fact that even with...

Poll: How are you feeling after Tennessee loss?

I went positive. I expected a loss in GB. Our defense played better than I thought they would and our offense played about the same as I thought they would. I was a bit bummed about SF but it's early in the season. It's possible that SF's DL is much better than anyone is giving them credit...

Tom Cable Week 4 Press Conference

Spot on. One of the trends you'll notice when we play GB is that we'll get a ton of sacks in the first half when GB tries to run their regular offense. They realize they're getting Rodgers beat up so in the 2nd half, everything is out of his hand in 2 seconds and we get fewer sacks. Our...

    Pic from Sunday....

Lol at first glance I thought that was the Titans' OL cut blocking our DL.

    Pete's big changes

Bennett will always get some offsides penalties because he doesn't have elite get off and needs to time the snap count. He more than makes up for it with negative plays in the backfield. We need to worry when he's not balancing out those offsides with negative plays for the defense.

Times: Offense must change identity, from run to Wilson

While at first glance that seems right, statistics don't back it up. The Seahawks are 0-4 when Wilson passes 35 + times. They are 1-5 when he passes 40+ times. Passing more isn't the answer. It's when we pass, how we pass and pass protection. Pass protection was fine yesterday. Passing...
