PS3 Madden 25 Online Connected Career League?

Yeah... guess I'll have to settle for going perfect against the CPU (the Sim is broken... I've simmed about 20 games with Seattle and Philly and I went 17-3 in those games)

Who's Raising The Flag This Weekend nm

Macklemore at least reps Seattle (and the Hawks) to a ridiculous degree. Beats someone like Drew Carey, who I mostly remember from some mediocre 90s comedy where he was a Browns fan. Holmgren or SA would be excellent.

PS3 Madden 25 Online Connected Career League?

Connected Career / Dynasty / Franchise / Whatever EA calls it this year (seriously... they change very little that matters from year-to-year, but change all sorts of small things for no apparent reason). Anyways, is anyone interested in a .NET PS3 league? We did this a couple years back...

Which Line Was Better Today - Offense or Defense?

Defense. Carolina got some rushing yards against us (and they usually do that), but we made plays in the passing game. The nicest thing I can say about the OL is that the Panthers are a good line... but that good line whooped our OL up and down the street vs the run.

    Good Game Hawk fans.

GG. I was worried about your DL before the game, and they were better than I imagined. Your LBs were fast to the ball in the run as well. Biggest surprise was Cam. This wasn't the same Cam I saw a few times last year when I caught the Panthers. He was taking what the defense would give him...

    Stephen Williams

Williams turned his head early and kept it turned to track the ball, which slowed him down. Still had a chance at a very tough catch after that, but couldn't hold on.

Dumbest Non-Futch moves that Ruskell made in Hawks history

Hard not to look at the Curry pick. Even if he was the player Ruskell hoped he would be, it was an awful pick with nightmarish salary cap ramifications. But, everyone makes dumb draft picks from time to time. Julius Jones was one of those moves that looked incredibly stupid at the time, and was...

    Prospects I was wrong about

2009: My biggest whiff was falling for workout warrior Jason Smith, he moved great on tape and weighed in much higher than I expected, I thought he was developing. Instead, he never really figured out how to lock out pass rushers (he could delay, but not eliminate them) and he became a mediocre...

First photos inside Oregon's new football ops building

One of the thing in sports is when a reporter acts like we should be mad that they aren't treated particularly well. I'm not talking about violence or anything like that, but players/coaches showing them contempt, denying them access, etc. The impression I get from a lot of writers is that...

    Most heartbreaking future Seahawks departure?

ET would probably be as hard for me as any Seahawk has. Liked him pre-draft, he's unique in his skillset and how we use him, fast as hell which makes some of his tackles absolutely awesome on replay, and he's a quiet lead-by-example type on a team with enough vocal leadership. Plus, long hair is...

Heisman pundits breaking down of top teams NFL talent...

He missed some passes that he'd normally hit (I had the same impression). But literally every QB suffers a drop with pressure. He didn't look like Gabbert or even Hass when pressured, which is what I like.

Heisman pundits breaking down of top teams NFL talent...

Funny, Kearly. I saw the exact opposite between Austin and Thomas - I feel Austin is noticeably slower than Thomas (in fact, I didn't think much of Austin's explosiveness until I stopped comparing him to Thomas). Now, I think Austin made more explosive plays last year, but in terms of football...

Johnny Manziel = Tebow 2.0, with issues

While partying isn't a big deal in general, there's more scrutiny for QBs. They're expected to be leaders on and off the field. With holding the football every play comes greater responsibility. Still, it's not a big deal if your QB likes to party as long as they prioritize football over all...

NFL game rewind and preseason live

I love game rewind... just watched the condensed version of the Skins playoff game, I'd forgotten a few key things (like Wilson and Lynch messing up a handoff when we were down 14-3 and driving... luckily, Lynch picked it up and managed to get 15 yards or so off it. Probably the most important...

    Huskies boot d'linemen off team

Not the same thing. Both of those guys got into legal trouble (repeatedly), they weren't booted just for failing tests (I have never heard of this guy either, not saying he didn't get into any legal trouble).

Rice on the worst contract list

I don't see Rice as a bad contract at all. Lets see... for ~10 million a year without a lot of guaranteed money, we got: 70/1000/15.0/10TDs. Good hands, makes more great catches than he drops. Runs a lot of routes downfield, which helps open up the underneath game and helps keep safeties...

    Ryan Swope 40

Seriously, man, what is your beef with Kearly? Are you upset that he can manage an original thought or something? Its like you look for opportunities to make stupid comments needling him.

    DJack unpopular?

Phew. I'm glad on the rare occasion someone reads one of my articles, it wasn't a complete dud. I wish we had all 22 film available from DJack's prime, it would be great to see him run routes (he is my definition of average WR athletically, but he got open all day). I think he received a bum...

    Belated NBA 2K13 Stuff

I started a terrible franchise other than the Kings, sounded like fun. I took the Raptors, moved them to Seattle, moved OKC to the East, and put the Sonics back in the NW division. This allows the possibility of a SEA-OKC finals. I wanted to create a future star, so I made a 6'0 PG (I've...

    NCAA 2014

Yeah, the read option seems too unstoppable in this game. Although, I take a different approach - I want my backside DE to slow play the QB every time unless there is a terrible matchup (and my starting RDE at Tulane is 6'1 and 235lbs with 60 speed, so it's gonna happen), because I see the DE...
