    Glad we played to win

Well the niners may have just ended our playoff hopes if Adams is hurt so...yeah we really showed them by defeating beathard. They must be devastated.

    Hindsight is 20/20

We need Adams more than any transient emotional boost from beating a non playoff bound niner team. I mean...does anyone really disagree with that? At all? Now of course the coaches can’t know that’s the trade off but even the possibility outweighs the impact of a win and that’s why coaches...

    Jamal Adams injury

If Adams is hurt it’s no hyperbole to say we blew out best shot in the post season for today’s meaningless game. I get it before it wasn’t clear about the saints and packers but after it became clear...seems pretty pointless and stupid

    John Schneider

I'm a little confused at why adding Olsen for 8 mil to the list would be considered a positive, but the rest of the list seems on point

So we won the division. Big deal!

Well I suppose that's one way to go about things as opposed to offering up football opinions. For me negative nellies are to be engaged on the merits or ignored if there are no merits, but this is just feeding oxygen to the flames.

Brooks is rapidly improving, great game

Far as I can tell Brooks has been solid all year. But yeah, he def showed up and made a splash today. Getting so that I'm happy when it's Brooks in coverage vs our other LBs.

    KNJ Redemption Story

There were also third and long conversions where Goff fired right into the area where the blitz originated. The defensive game plan and execution was stellar today. Not to say there wasn't a miss here or there.

    Nice Win But......

Nice post, agree with all of that. I think 6 is a function of more confidence in the secondary, directly related to the rest of the points. I just think without Dunlap and Reed, we were trying (failing) to limit damage instead of playing d

This D is going to SHOCK you. It's going to be GREAT

It's not the LOB but earlier in the season we'd give 50 to the crack addict on the street corner who just got thrust into starting QB. Rams have always had our number, this was a very encouraging defensive performance to me.

Who’s ready to man up and apologize...

I never thought KNJ had much to work with, especially on the DL, but I was nasty towards our defensive chances early and if that amounts to apologizing, sign me up. They have really got something brewing defensively and it's fun again to watch us on D

    Nice Win But......

Did Norton magically improve, or did the addition of Reed and Dunlap give us something to work with? He wasn't shy about being aggressive with actual DL weapons and corners that can cover.

    THAT! Was a perfect game.

I thought it was a well-schemed, well executed game plan. At the last meeting we were still throwing it all over, and Russ had 2 picks and zero TDs, and we lost despite the D limiting the Rams to 23. This meeting, once again the D brought the wood, and we were a bit more conservative on...

    Credit the D line

I’ll credit them on that last drive but pressure wasn’t there all game and our blitz happy attempts to make up for it didn’t help us cover the middle of the field where TEs and RBs ate us alive all game

Offense has no idea what to do against two high safeties

In a game with Carson and good blocking where our passing offense was anemic and couldn’t pick up the slack once they started stopping the run, I think the OPs idea is worth exploring. Matty brown has been banging that drum on Twitter for weeks, and it’s going to continue to get play until we...

CB Griffen: Hawks took Giants for Granted

Shaq isn't worthy of CB1 money IMO, but sending him packing? Lol no. If we don't re-sign Shaq it'll be because the market pumps him up to CB1 money. Telling the truth in a press conference won't be a fart in the wind. If this season has proven anything it's that we need all the corners we...

    Run to pass ratio

I hope I'm wrong, but hesitancy was one of Penny's early bugaboos, which he was growing out of, but I don't expect coming back from his injury he'll be super assertive early on. I think a few carries to get him into the swing, then Carson and Hyde. If Hyde can be effective, use him up and save...

    More Russell!!

Matty Brown put out his evaluation on Twitter today. He's pretty hard on Russell, and I don't know that I go along with all the plays where he graded Russell poorly, but what I will say is that it is absolutely not true that A) there wasn't enough time to throw, and B) there were no underneath...

    Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow to adjust

Designed lateral short passes are something we either don’t execute that well or something we tip off too easily. And we just can’t or won’t do a lot over the middle short either. Drawing up deep concepts is fine, and will get defenders spread out, and when they aren’t open deep give you easier...

Tre Flowers rank since week 7.

In addition to returning to the right he’s been playing with much smaller cushions, which of course may be directly related to getting back to his natural position. He’s been playing tighter and NOT getting toasted doing it. His effort vs the cards was one any NFL corner would have been proud...
