    Best draft in years

I think JS would agree with you. He's said a couple of times that the late great Ted Thompson taught him to always draft a QB and that he (JS) needs to do a better job of this. This year's QB is Sam Howell for a third or fourth round pick (depending on the chart you use). He has a ton of arm...

    Best draft in years

That's simple. Jayden Daniels is better.

    Overall feelings about our draft?

Teams will sometimes select a player they like at the end of the draft simply because they don't think they can get him to sign with them as an undrafted free agent. That is probably the case with Jerrell.

    Best draft in years

I agree. Howell is better than any of the QBs drafted outside the first round, and it's obvious that JS agrees.

    Overall feelings about our draft?

I agree. I thought it was a bit odd that they selected two CBs and no Safeties. For the most part, I'm fine with our CBs (especially our starters Riq and Devon) but thought we could use more depth at Safety. However, if the plan is for Witherspoon to be the Seahawk's version of Kyle Hamilton...

Seahawks Select 3 OG in the Draft

I consider Fant strictly a Tackle, not a Guard. However, you're right about him providing much-needed depth at Tackle, especially considering Lucas's knee issue. Forsythe really struggled last year.

    My draft grades

I agree. I especially liked the way they tripled down on the Guards, especially in round six. IMHO improving the Guard position was Seattle's highest priority, so using multiple picks on Guards gets a big (y) from me.

Seahawks Select 3 OG in the Draft

I agree. I was wondering if they would take a center in this draft and they didn't, so Olu's the man.

Seahawks Select 3 OG in the Draft

A complete overhaul at the OG position. The only remaining player who played last year is Anthony Bradford. The Hawks also kept McClendon Curtis, who briefly played in one game. Players added in free agency are Laken Tomlinson and Tremayne Anchrum Jr. Players added in the draft are Christian...

    Pick #179 G/T Sataoa Laumea

That's odd. I like him at guard, not so sure about tackle. Anyway, three offensive picks, a TE, and 2 RG. Pretty clear what their opinion of Anthony Bradford is.

    2024 NFL Draft Day 2 Press Conference - April 26, 2024

Sorry, but these press conferences feel weird not having Pete there.

    Pick #81 - G Christian Haynes

Excellent pick. Not sure how he lasted this long.

Pick #16 - DT Byron Murphy

A player I liked last year was Calijah Kancey, who went #19 to Tampa Bay. Murphy seems like a bigger, stronger version of Kancey. I'm very excited about this pick.

    Happy draft day!

Hm...I was expecting a trade back, but it's hard to argue with taking the best DT in the draft.

    Happy draft day!

With all the defensive players being pushed down I think the odds of Seattle trading their pick is going up.

    Happy draft day!

Wow. Six QBs in the top 12 and no defensive players!

Got what we wished for -

Can someone give me the crib notes on what an "air raid offense" is? While familiar with the term, I haven't had a reason to learn the details.

Great article on the churn that is currently taking place

https://sports.mynorthwest.com/1773987/seattle-seahawks-clear-direction-free-agent-nfl-draft-first-round/ I agree with pretty much everything he says.

How are you feeling about the Roster RN?

You're rolling the dice with both Howell and Penix. Either one could be your franchise QB or be out of the league in 5 years. To me, it comes down to how large the investment is. Do you want to spend pick 16 on Penix and pay him pick 16 dollars or do you swap a couple of mid-round picks for...

    Sam Howell is Geno's Backup!!

I was actually relieved when I saw what Seattle gave up to get Howell. When I first saw the headlines I thought for sure that JS had traded a 3rd for him. When I saw it was a swap of a mid-3rd for a high 4th (plus the 5th and 6th swap) I felt much better. Howell has a ton of arm talent and...
