    Uniform changes?

Equal parts nostalgia and bias, but I think the throwbacks are the best uniforms in the league.

Good summary article on the Grubb 'era' -

Yeah, I'm actually quite encouraged by this. Macdonald knew it was a problem, tried to get Grubb to fix the problem, and would have come across as completely dysfunctional as a first-year HC to fire him midseason. But at his first opportunity, he removed the problem and did so professionally...

    Bo Nix

Yep, I remember you were all over Nix last draft season. You kept saying we should trade up with the Bears to get him. I think pretty much everybody (including me) shrugged off Nix going that high and/or having real success.

Place bets now: Grubb here in 2025?

That's what I have to wonder as well. Is the OL holding the offense back or is the offense holding the OL back? It just seems like we should have enough good players to put together a league-average squad.

Place bets now: Grubb here in 2025?

I was thinking the same thing. Macdonald studies a new offense every single week. Last offseason, he had to rush to put together a staff from leftover parts. Now he has the opportunity to seek out the kind of offense he wants to best complement his defense. And even though he's struggled this...

    Chicago. Big Mac/Defense, Geno, Grubb

I trust Macdonald will address this in the offseason. He's done wonders with the defense in one season, and that side of the ball is only going to get better. He's too good of a coach to sit on his hands out of loyalty, stubbornness, etc.

Are we good enough to complain about power rankings again?

The Arizona wins are definitely quality given the improved state of that team, but they're still Arizona. If Seattle beats Green Bay in prime time, that's the kind of signature victory that really puts this team on the national radar (even though Green Bay is only 1-4 against winning teams)...

    Window closed?

They have cap room, and the full impact of his contract wouldn't be felt until later. Plus, he's played himself out of a $60M contract. He's a $30M type guy now.

    Russ in the SB

It's cool to see him have success again. Like I've said, he's Denver's failure, not ours. Hopefully he can keep it up while keeping the extracurricular off-field cheese dialed down.

    Winning Ugly Still Counts

In some ways, it says more about how this team is growing than a pretty win would have. They're coming off two emotional division games to take the lead, flew cross-country after Thanksgiving, played a 10 AM game, spotted the Jets a lead...and still found a way to win it. They wouldn't have done...

Sataoa Laumea announced as starting right guard for Jets game

This is what real competition looks like again. Macdonald really has some quiet intensity at his press conferences. There's no reason to think Haynes won't ultimately be a good player. Rookie OL is hard. He will be better for this.

How deep into the playoff will we go?

The Jets is a huge test of where this team is at. If they can go on the road and beat a team that they should beat (after two emotional division games) to stay in first place, that's a sign of team maturity. That'd be a big step. Not necessarily about the quality of the opponent or even the...

RUMOR: Pete Carroll to the Jets?

The Jets really do need to get their stuff together, though. The New York franchises have been hopeless for so long. At least the Giants have an incredible four Super Bowls spanning two eras, though.

Purdy and Bosa OUT Against Packers

The other thing that I forget (which we also painfully witnessed) is that you become a victim of your own success. Losing top coordinators and executives to other teams. At some point, the brain drain becomes too much.

Purdy and Bosa OUT Against Packers

That's one draft (and a rookie one at that so who knows how it evolves). And on that, Pearsall had a slow start for obvious reasons, but he has 11 receptions on 17 targets for 132 yards (6 games played). The last two games, he has 0 receptions on 2 targets. I'm not sure him being a starter right...

Purdy and Bosa OUT Against Packers

We saw and lived this story ourselves. The stars get expensive, get old, get injured. The coaching gets stale. Too many bad drafts in a row deplete the overall roster talent level. You hope that "just need to fix a few things in the offseason" changes things. But it doesn't really work that way.

ESPN summary of our game winning drive

I like this part. Macdonald is going to have his team practiced and prepared for game situations (coaches and players). "The right side of the offensive line does not hold up this time, and Leonard Floyd sacks Smith at the 37. Walker and left guard Laken Tomlinson help Smith up with 1:06 left...

    Seahawks Photo Of The Year

That's a beautiful setup. The townscape under the TV is inspired. I'm going to lift and create a version of that.

EJ4 is the leader we've been missing

At the risk of comparing him to a team legend and future HOF player, this trade kind of reminds me of Seattle acquiring Lynch for a fourth-rounder early in Carroll's tenure. Same compensation, same kind of toughness, same kind of tone setter for what their respective head coaches want to do.

    ME3 to start!

I was thinking along the same lines this morning. I wanted him to flop in Denver because of how it ended here (him thinking he was a HoF QB being held back by the team) as well as the draft capital. Now, he's a one-year rental, reclamation-type QB. And maybe I'm not paying attention (or maybe...
