    This year's defense historically bad

The secondary isn't the problem. With Diggs back there, they now have a championship secondary. It's not the best, but it's above average. The have a lot of problems covering intermediate routes (LBs), and stopping the run (LBs/DLine) of late. You've got LBs out there to ensure you don't leak in...

    This year's defense historically bad

Yeah, this is really something. So Pete's primary value is locker/team culture. This is no small value. Some coaches offer winning culture with no philosophy/schematic value (like Pete, Dungy). Some offer schematic value, but can't teach a winning culture (Marrone, Arians). Some coaches have...

    Kendricks out for the year

Anyone interested in the link that I posted which doesn't have Kendricks to IR after many thought he tore his ACL?

    Kendricks out for the year

It's interesting that Kendricks has not yet been posted to IR. In fact, he's listed as OUT for Wildcard game. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/SEA/seattle-seahawks/injuries/ He must not have tore his ACL after all. It must be a sprain.

Why doesn't Pete like John Ursua?

It look an injury at CB for Richard Sherman to get a start.

    4th Quarter

1-3 in the final 4 games. Listen, I am glad to watch playoff games and cheer for a competitive team.. don't get me wrong. But when your whole mantra is built off of not peaking too soon and finishing strong- this team has done the opposite; doesn't finish games, and had the worst final 4 games...

    Seattle is winning the Superbowl.

Off the top of my head guessimate: 70% Chance winning @PHI 50% Chance of winning @SF 35% chance of winning @NO or GB 50% of beating AFC Champ 35% chance of getting to NFCC 13% chance of getting to SB 6% chance of winning SB I have faith they beat PHI and SF. Not so sure about after that TBH.

Is Marshawn returning a sign that reconciliation is possible

Actually, you're wrong. If you watch the footage of Pete getting ready to see the play unfold, he puts his hands on his knees and says, "Ok what do we got here?", to Bevell.

    Finishing teams off

Exactly. There's actually cognitive bias for this: Gambler's Fallacy. The human brain has difficulty understanding probability and large numbers, so you are naturally inclined to believe that past events can somehow change or impact future probabilities. For example, there are many people who...

    Finishing teams off

You're right: it doesn't matter in the scope of a one week effort. Winning 30-24 versus 37-10 make no difference in one single week. But it does matter if the style you play could allow for a collapse in the future. Just because things work out for you in the past doesn't mean they will...

    Finishing teams off

The Seattle Seahawks very easily could have lost Sunday's game against Carolina. After extending their lead to 30-10 with 7 minutes left, the Sehawks found themselves on 3rd and 11 in their own territory with 2 minutes left. Does anyone have confidence that the defense would have stopped CAR...

Playing safe will end up costing us in the playoffs.

The reason they keep letting teams back in, is that they don't have an elite D- specifically an elite pass rush. With a pass rush, when you're up, the opposing team takes sacks, hits, fumbles, INTs etc... If they can play like they did against SF, they can beat anyone... why did the line get...

    NFC Final Playoff Picture

I don't post often but I felt really confident this was going to happen. Go Hawks.

    NFC Final Playoff Picture

49ers are going down to the Falcons this week in a shocker. Atlanta has been playing well since Quinn's job is on the line the last few weeks. 49ers are banged up.

    Penny

The impact of this will be devastating unless CJ Procises can pick up the slack and provide some big play ability (stay healthy). There was a time when CJ was an X factor (when we beat NE at Gillette). Carson is great for pounding out the game, but the compliment was understated. I don't think...

With Penny out, time for a reunion with the Irish Dancer?

If it's a sprain instead of a tear, it's really good news for his career.

This Loss Proves We Aren't Elite (Yet)

The Hawks just don't match up well against the Rams. Fortunately, they likely won't have to play them again this year. I'm not sure what LA figured out coming from their bye, but it's a much different team the last 2 weeks.

    Very Concerning

It's very possible. Playoff football on the road is tough though; If SF does get the 5 seed and wins 3 road games to get to the SB, then they deserve it.
