    Grubb gone, Geno?

Exactly where I am right now with everything. Geno isn't as bad of a QB as people are making him out to be. People that were chanting start Howell right when we were in the thick of the playoff race were delusional. Geno is the best we have, but that is also the point of frustration. Geno Smith...

    Will Steelers want Wilson back?

It is really funny if you look at the Steeler fans comments on RW. They're saying the same exact things Bronco and Seahawk fans were saying. The offense looks exactly like the Schottenheimer era passing game under Wilson. RW can win you games, but he's a game manager at this point. Put him on a...

Mike Macdonald Explains Decision to Fire OC Ryan Grubb

Clash of philosophy. Mike MacDonald comes from the Harbaugh coaching tree, he's been around both Harbaughs for around 10 years at this point. The question I pose to you is this; did our offense look like anything from a Jim or John Harbaugh lead team? Obviously, Mike MacDonald is his own man...

    Grubb gone, Geno?

My main point that I was making there is that you hardly ever see lateral moves at OC. The only time you usually see that is if the HC gets fired, or the HC themselves was the offensive mastermind and they have to take a downgrade. The targets for playoff teams would be your passing game...

    Grubb gone, Geno?

Well, if you get off on QB's being sacked, Howell is your man. The guy holds the football for an eternity and a half.

    Grubb gone, Geno?

Not an established OC necessarily. Coming here would be a downgrade for a potential established OC. For the other offensive staff on those teams, however things are different. The Rams TE coach is a hot OC name, you can also snag passing game coordinators from playoff teams.

    New OC options

Well, Schottenheimer might come available -- Mike McCarthy might be on the hot seat. I wouldn't mind seeing him back, if anything the man knows how to establish a running game. Reich would be my number one choice. It may take Reich a long time before he's offered another HC gig, he could be a...

    Grubb gone, Geno?

That is part of the game. Cam Newton here breaking down the protection calls and adjustments that happen in a play design before the ball is snapped. A play is only a scaffolding, each play has something called sight adjustments. Part of the DK routes issues could also be placed on Geno...

    And now you see.

Every QB has INTs that aren’t their fault. Geno Smith also has consistently lead the league in turnover worthy throws. This year it caught up with him. The Seahawks have also had a bad redzone offense every year with Geno.

    QB next year

I think the Seahawks need to rip the band aid off. Geno Smith is by no means a bad QB, but he really is another Kirk Cousins sort of figure. Cousins wasn't bad either, but he never was going to be that guy that elevated your team. Cousins, in affect was just a placeholder. He had some decent...

    Dickerson Fired

Schottenheimer has actually done a good job executing the vision of his HC's. He's not the next big name in the league but he's not a terrible coordinator and he has credibility as a QB coach. He was clearly a cut above any of our offensive coordinators since Holmgren. Schottenheimer has a place...

    Dickerson Fired

    He's a DLine coach.

    Drafting a QB in Rd1

Unless Geno holds out I don't think we're drafting, or signing anyone. I think that Schneider is content to kick the can down the road as long as he can. He hasn't put much urgency at even having a developmental QB at backup -- even with Russell Wilson showing discontent for what was a few...

    Drafting a QB in Rd1

The QB situation is not going to change next season. It is likely going to be Geno and Howell once again, no new additions to the QB room. The only scenario I could see changing this is a potential Geno Smith hold out. I say this because Smith has been fishing for a new contract. I've heard...

    Poll: QB 2025

The Vikings are not going to let Darnold walk for free. I don't think the Vikings mind shelling out huge amounts of money for Darnold. The Vikings don't have any incentive to get rid of any of them. Darnold is going to get a massive deal, but I guarantee it will include a lot of incentives and...

    The case for Brian Schottenheimer

Drew Brees (Brees actually went out of his way to give credit to Schottenheimer for his development), Philip Rivers, Andrew Luck had his best years following Schottenheimer coaching him -- in fact Luck even mentioned him and their rapport together being a big influence on his play, Cooper Rush...

Would JS really let Jones walk?

He didn't fire Pete, Jody did. Carroll had authority over JS, in fact Carroll even hired JS, which is very rare/odd for an HC to do. Carroll had complete control over football operations and had the power to override JS at any time.

    The case for Brian Schottenheimer

He also is the only offensive coach we've had that is still coordinating. He consistently finds jobs for a reason. Is he the next hot play caller? No, but he is able to adapt modern NFL trends and execute them. He's the type of guy that adheres to a coaches vision and makes it happen. Is...

    The case for Brian Schottenheimer

Sure, we could do better than Schotty --- but having an experienced coach is something that we're missing. This guy knows does know how to pilot an offense and he does know how to coach up QB's. He's also not likely to get poached right away either.

    The case for Brian Schottenheimer

This has been an issue with Russ since 2020 no matter who he's coached under. He went from being a playmaker to a QB that is really only a game manager at this point. Teams started adopting the Fangio defense and created an NFL where the passing game was struggling. Teams are having issues...
