As far as the Clams go, IF Stafford goes down, they're toast. So, a lot of this has to do with health.
Oh man please no:
The 49ers issue is not the Rams or the Seahawks . The issue is staying healthy. If they stay healthy this year they will be in the mixYou act like this just didn't slam the windows shut on the Niners. If the Rams are a power house for the next couple years that will mean bye, bye to players like Williams, Bosa, CMC, Kittle, and more. It could be awhile before the Niners find themselves above water again in this division.
This was such a brilliant move, its wild:
-Because of the money the Browns had to pay/eat, the Rams have Garrett for something like 3 years/33 million per year
-Here in a year or two, Verse will probably be paid that - while he is a good young player, he's nowhere near Garrett - and while our pass rush was good last year, it also disappeared at times. Verse's missed tackles were also really bad
-It is possible that Stafford retires after this season - if that happens, we can afford to sign Puka, Turner and probably two of the four FA OL
We can also easily restructure some deals to bring back some of those guys if Stafford does come back for another year
And love or hate Simpson the player, McVay wanted him, so for now we are going to assume that we have our QB of the future, which is what unlocked moving that 2027 first round pick.
So its possible that we win the Super Bowl this year, Stafford rides off into the sunset, we re-sign most of the FAs, and Simpson steps into the best roster around a QB in the league.
Just outstanding work by Snead here.
And there's not really a precedent for it - players as good as him don't typically get traded, and not to the team who was already the betting favorite.
If you were the betting favorite, why did you need Garrett..................... Inquiring minds want a no BS repeonseThis was such a brilliant move, its wild:

This^Garrett is certainly better, but not so much better that I'm giving up a young star at that same position, plus the draft picks and salary difference. This will be a disaster for the Rams if it doesn't directly lead to at least one championship. He seems to be a pretty awful person with terrible judgment too.
But what’s the point, DE was not what you guys needed to overcome our dominanceThis was such a brilliant move, its wild:

True, McVag ability to read a rule book is, but hey they gave up three picks for a player thats more expensive that may or may not make them better depending on how they use him.But what’s the point, DE was not what you guys needed to overcome our dominance

Congratulations you are the 128th ram fan. It’s amazing you guys have reached such astronomical numbers with your fan bots.. I mean baseThis was such a brilliant move, its wild:

He’s so worried about stopping our offense. He’s missing the point. Our defense is aces. It doesn’t matter if you slow down our offense with new corners and a half a new defensive end. Our defense will out score you still McVagiMcVay's overreaction to counter our Schneider Line.
Plus, they share that stadium with the Chargers."Rams House"
.......................stadium half full of opposing fans.
It really doesn't.Um, did you just ask a question about the Rams and a cap?![]()

It doesn't exist.
I think they're doing what the Patriots tried to do - building the pressure on Darnold to increase the odds of him making a mistake. Seeing as they were the team that established that when Darnold was with the Vikings, and had some success with it in 2025 (six interceptions in the two regular season games) I can see why they'd approach it that way. Adding two quality DBs in the offseason also contributes to that. The Seahawks haven't lost since beating the Rams in overtime.....but it's not like any of the Rams/Hawks games were blowouts. But what’s the point, DE was not what you guys needed to overcome our dominance
Apparently called him the N word. Garrett is well respected around the league, well spoken. I think this was more a lapse of character rather than flawed characterF*ck that guy, tried to smash in another players skull with his helmet is not a guy in want on this team.
The Seahawks don't have to get into an arms race. You won the superbowl, the other teams are trying to catch themA counter move the Seahawks could make to the Rams trading for Garrett, would be to trade for Titans DT Jeffery Simmons. There was talk about him possibly be traded last year. So if the Titans continue their losing ways, I could see Simmons being available for trade before the trade deadline. Simmons is 28 years old, and is a 3-time All-Pro player. He is dominate as run defender and pass rusher (for DT), he has 42.5 career sacks. Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy, and Jeffery Simmons all on the same defensive line would be insane!
