1st rounder, second rounder, third, Rounder (27, 28, 29) plus Verse... apparently they get to spread out his option so its only gonna tack them for 13 mil this year 17 mil next year.

Puka, Puka, Puka, they have yet to deal with his situation and want another WR as well. They in no way shape or form want us playing for the Championship in their stadium like we did last year in S.F. The will sell out everything to prevent that. Why I hope their ship implodes, Dream Team type meltdown.

This trade has got me to thinking about some of the rumors of Seattle trading for Garrett. It makes me wonder if in addition to the Rams perceivably going "all in" for this year, were they afraid the Seahawks were going to make a move before them. Did JS put out rumors to raise Garretts price tag?

All in for this year, and next. I’m assuming they were in a bidding war with us, and the only way they could win was to package Verse. At least that’s the story I'm going to tell myself, to comfort myself.

And if that is true, I love the Schneider was able to force them to pay that much.
I read it was the Eagles and Cowboys they were bidding against. And the Browns had planned to hold until Verse was offered.

What would trading for just Verse cost? This is an expensive trade for the Rams.

They better hope Garrett doesn't get Micah Parsons' knee

Eh, they're going all in this year. I don't blame them although i'm a bit confused as to why they traded a 5 year younger stud pass rusher in the deal. Strike while the irons hot I suppose.

I'm more concerned about our run game than Garrett.

So much can happen over the course of the season. Good for us, and bad for us. But its the same for the rams. It might mean very little by the time we play them and Stafford is injured, or playing with a season of nagging problems. But.....we'll see I guess. We'll also have almost a full season to see how exactly/how much, they use him.

Well they basically have 17 games to keep him healthy before he takes the field for what they got him for.

How much a difference is Garret vs Verse?
7.5 sacks VS 23 Sacks
Average VS the best ever

The Seahawks will have to throw a RB to chip him at the line, as well as a LT to stop him. It's probably not the end of the world, just something to game plan for.

He is not a young pup, and freakish years normally come with some fourm of a slump.

Throughout the day I have moved 1 inch back from the ledge, but not 2.

He is all that, but we got him!

I'm thinking Robbie Outz is going to see a lot of field time when Myles is on the field. I'm glad we have him.

Also, I'm curious how Grey Zabel might stack up against him. I haven't seen anyone that could best him.

MM will be scheeming as well. (How do you spell schemeing?)

This should be fun.

wow, this feels like a desperation move. Were still going to sweep them. Gave up waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. these are moves that losing franchises make.

You can't compare just a single season.. yes he averaged 12 a year before that.. but Verse is... still on a Rookie Contract, and is PHENOMINAL in the run game PLUS having great pressure setup and coverage skills.. hes a complete package

Myles sacks.. period... the rest of his game is not where Verse is. Verse is still on an amazing trajectory to match Garrets production...

THe only point Im making is that the price was steep for Garret.. period. No one can deny that. 13 this year, 17 next year.. Puka is getting harder to structure, and Stafford only has maybe 2 more years? Mayb ehe has his drop off now

THeir strength was their Offense, adding Garret isnt going to magically keep us from scoring 30 on them. Garret rushing the whole time and being pretty poor in run defense in the zone, gives us hope in those matchups since we run so much, and probably now more TE usage.

That was said when they went all in for the 2021 season. We know how that turned out. 3 out of 4 playoff seasons since. And considered one of the best again this year.

The Seahawks will do to Garrett what they did to Verse.

Not concerned at all.

....unless Garrett can also play Special Teams? :sneaky:

And no SB....SINCE.

Just like there won't be a SB this year for them when we beat the shit out of them. 200

Just… no. Garret is the second best run stopping end in the league (Max Crosby is the best). It’s overshadowed by his pass rush, but he’s the complete package.

The Rams can go toe to toe with us on offense (assuming Stafford doesn’t fall off a cliff and Puka somehow gets his head on straight). Their weakness was their secondary, and boy did they address that in a big way, with the addition of McDuffie. Now they add Garrett, who makes it an easier job for their secondary.

The Rams did exactly what they needed to do to match up against us. Let’s hope Fleury has some magic up his sleeve. We are going to need it.
