Yeah, If I didn't know better I would have thought that pic was AI generated.
It can't be overstated just how perfectly the organization nailed this hire. It's always a gamble when you go from one coach to another. Is the new coach gonna be better? Worse? Same?...He is just so even keeled and balanced neither too rah rah nor total dictator. He might already be the best situational coach in the NFL even though he’s still in his toddler phase.
Unless we suffer big time injuries (knock on wood), its hard to ever envision him ever leading a team to a losing record. He just on top of everything that it takes in both mental and physical preparation, travel, rest, learning opportunities, strategy, etc., for a club to be a winner.
I think you will see new wrinkles on D this year...MM seems to like the cutting edge or as he says chasnig edges! The League will adjust. How will he adjust in response? Longevity in the NFL is very difficult. I'm anxious to see how he keeps the D unpredictable.
Pete spent nearly a decade decimating what he built. That alone puts him behind MM at this point.I think it’s still too early to call him the greatest. He won the Super Bowl only two years faster than Pete did. Despite the last few years of his coaching career, I still believe Pete is the greatest.
- Pete C.
- M. Mac
- M. Holmgren
I disagree. Holmgren had a rigid (comparatively) scheme and a knack for finding the right players to fit into it. When he had the right talent, he was nearly unstoppable. Once he had too many square pegs and only round holes things started to go south. No matter what the data showed him, he stilled demanded his square pegs do round hole work.He is for defense, what Holmgren was for offense.
The difference is that defense wins championships.
So Yes, outside of Mora, Mac 10 is the best Coach in Seahawks history!
Carroll strength was he was personable with players. And that’s cool for a mentor. Not good for long term football success.
Macdonald, is a straight up football savant!
The guy, absolutely lives and breathes football strategy and Xs and Os. Macdonald, will out scheme you, and is always a master technician of the chess board.
That is what long term success builds its foundation around. Once, players understand your system and sees it work, short term and long term, it is a unanimous buy in to the program.
Macdonald has some strict rules compared to Carroll, and this is not a slight in the least at all at Macdonald, but even a blind man can see that the labor and discipline needed for Mac’s team absolutely pays off.
And think more players are gravitate towards the genuine and genius of Mac as opposed to a “players coach” that has no idea how to game plan.
Mac, is equally tough on coaches as he demands from players.
This is what is most important!
We are in for some GREAT years with Mac!
I’m telling you, DOT NET, we are absolutely in the GOLDEN ERA, of Seahawks football!
Seattle struck absolute GOLD, OIL, WATER, ELECTRICITY, NUCLEAR POWER, with Macdonald! And I for one, couldn’t be any happier and grateful!
And all that is left is whoever buys the Seahawks, understand to absolutely stay the F away from all of the football operations and let Schneider and Mac run the entire show!
Go DOT NET and Go Seahawks!

I’m sold. Mac, has innovated ideas. And seems to be on the cutting edge of schemes and strategy. More importantly, he’s equally driven and brilliant like our GM is.
Dot Net, we are in the GOLDEN ERA of Seahawks football!
Let’s enjoy it and APPRECIATE it!
