I don't know about this. I want someone with PNW ties.
Would I even need a second hand to count all the people with strong PNW ties who could reasonably make this purchase? This is looking like a $10B price tag.

We're not getting another Paul Allen. It just isn't happening. The sooner we all accept that, the better. At this point, I'm just hoping for someone who isn't TOO meddlesome, and maybe is only regular billionaire awful of a human rather than cartoonishly evil.

One of those two is based in Britain, likely the Hawks will play
two over there like the Jaguars do.
The Jags play 2 games there, because they have no fans. The nfl isn’t going to make a team with a packed house every week, go to Wngland 2 times a year. The MFL isn’t interested in losing money.

It's not the fans in the stadium that brings the most money, it's worldwide exposure and TV contracts.
It's no secret the NFL wants to be in Europe, and the Hawks can very well play there
two times a season if this team gets sold to an outside the U.S buyer.
I hate the idea of it, but it can happen.

Guy who made his money building steel in India. I’d bet there would be plenty of controversy but it happened in India and not the US
You think all billionaires have controversy (which is probably true) but you're right.

So long as he keeps any controversy out of the U.S., I'm good.

This. The Celtics-guy seems good to me. Options being The Satan himself, Emperor Palpatine and Joffrey Baratheon.

The Celtics are an exceptionally-run organization. They basically just let Brad Stevens, who is arguably the John Schneider of the NBA, do his thing and get out of the way.
Doing a little digging it seems like Celtic fans love the ownership there. That would interest me for sure and if what Rat is saying is true, no reason to think otherwise, JS would love it too.

Worried about the stadium suddenly being mentioned. It doesn't need replacing.

This is the thing. Big business owners in India don't have the employee safety rules that we have in the U.S.

Friday, May 08, 2026 | 44:00

Salk reads some overnight texts to start the show and also reacts to the news of a couple of new names emerging as potential suitors to buy the Seahawks. Then, they re-air their conversation with NFL QB Kirk Cousins on the Seahawks, his own career and much more.

I mean it’s still fairly early in the bidding process. Whoever buys the team should commit to Schneider and Macdonald long term and keep the Hawks in Seattle. This is a local homegrown franchise with a robust fanbase. Aside from that you better have deep pockets

Someone talked about the Seahawks playing more in Europe if an international buyer wins the bid. However, if the Indian mining/metal tycoon wins, wouldn't it make sense that the Seahawks would be forced to play in India? That's 1.5 billion rabid sports fans and none of them have an nfl jersey yet. It would suck for the team's travel but the owners might really like that idea....
