It's going to be a fun 7th round

With all the needs taken care of, now it's best player available time!

Seahawks basically filled 4 of their 5 top FA departures.

Price (Walker)
Clark (Bryant)
Neal (Woolen)
Henderson (Young)

All that leaves is Mafe. Feeling O’Toole (athletic potential) and Ivey (film + versatility) are better than a lot of the guys left on the board after round 4. But we are going to sign a good vet band-aid and he’ll be cheaper than Mafe and likely just as good or better because Mike is just elite in that way.

He learned how to kick from watching Jason Myers on YouTube, it would be wild if he took Jason's spot
Interesting, I knew he learned from Youtube, but I didn't realize it was Myers he was watching. Kind of weird, because Myers' style isn't particularly conventional.

Could be looking at a free agency after the cut downs too? We are not in the huddle.

Why do I keep seeing this "Mafe" Replacement... the dude contributed very little. We now also have Riley Mills coming in full force to be able to rotate and push guys around at tech spots.

Replace 2 sacks from last year and 6 his entire time here can't be THAT hard?

He had 20 sacks in his time here, and was pretty good against the run. I hardly saw him as irreplaceable, but saying he "contributed very little" is straight wrong.

Mafe was a very solid contributor here in Seattle, you should probably stick to Field Hockey and not Football.

Nah, actually Im not that crowd actually did not like this Edge class like others did.

Actually really like O’toole, he was my adoptee and my deep dive on him last year put his size, length, and athleticism very close to somewhere between the two hot wish casting players people wanted last year in Crosby and Hendrickson. For his development, its all about experience, really the know how and skillset on top of not necessarily body development (still true) but more so body control. This was a highschool WR turned TE, turned DE the last two years that couldn't stay on the field because he was still learning and understand playing at his extra weight going from 205 to 245+ at his time in Utah. So basically he just still catching up to the position but the physical and athletic traits are good.

Ivey to me is a poor mans Michael Bennett, people hate on his athletic profile or don’t necessarily see him as a true edge but put on the film whether collegiate or pre-season last year and you see a guy that just not only does his job but just wants to destroy anything and everything in his path.

And lot of people loving on these smaller, short arm dudes situational edge rushers when there is a dude on the roster that looks capable with some added weight in Tyrice Knight that as just as good athleticism and longer arms + WS than a lot of these dudes. 1.57 10 yard split and honestly looks his best we he doesn’t have to diagnose as much and just can pin his ears back with a single mission. Limited opportunities but was PFFs highest graded pass rusher at his position last season.

But I understand people need more assurances or more toys. And the Seahawks probably want something more experienced as well if they are serious about running it back considering Nwosu’s injury history and Lawrence’s age. So band-aid vet should be expected.
