The NBA needs a hard salary cap or some other way of stopping super-teams from forming. Not sure if the second apron is going to do the job. Right now only 2 teams are under the soft cap number of $154 million. You've got teams that are more than $80 million OVER the cap.

You have a bunch of teams that lose 70 percent of their games. Four teams won less than a quarter of their games. NFL fans complain of "parity", but another word for it is fairness and competitiveness. The NBA is a joke when it comes to competitiveness.

Dude makes a dunk - pounds chest like a hero; meanwhile team is down by 20.

Travelling all over the place.

The NBA is unwatchable.

I'm still a Blazers fan but damn its hard to watch, I was talking with my buddy about it last night, travels, carries, double doubles, the fundamentals are gone, its just jack up a 3, play no defense, and collect millions. The game is broken

Barely any wrist-to-face contact. A second passes. "Oh yeah, that was a violent hit to my face! Watch me, ref!" Flings his head back like he was just destroyed by the butt end of a rifle. Stuff like this is putting NBA in the crapper. (Top vid)

I still love the game. Though it has changed. Never liked the mercenary aspect of purchased championships. That's because I came from a small market team like Oregon.i grew up in an amazing blazers/sonics Era. Hopefully you won't hold that against me ❤️ Especially in the sports bar. If someone trolls me for liking the nba...then stop having sub forums.

In the basement at the Alamo.
Same. Haven't watched since the Sonics left and from what I hear the game has gone to complete shit.
Same. I threw my hands up as soon as the Supes left and I'll be happy for the city when they return, but the game as evolved into something I simply do not enjoy. March is pretty much the only month I watch the sport.

I’m a huge NBA fan so I’m going to defend it as best I can. Not surprised by everyone’s sentiment in here as most people in Seattle don’t like the NBA.

Everything shown in here is poor officiating. That happens in every sport. I can show clips of bad PI calls in NFL, or crap calls by MLB umps.

As for the league itself, it definitely has issues. More than NFL, probably less than baseball. However I give MLB a ton of credit for all the changes the last couple years. NBA needs to address the tanking and the foul baiting. Once those are addressed the product should feel much better.

I love watching NBA because it’s a star driven sport. The stars show up almost every night. When the Sonics come back, I’ll pick games based on who I want to see. Go see Wemby, you most likely will see him drop 25 and 10. Go see Luka, very good chance he drops 30. If you went to see Judge for all three games against the M’s you saw him get one hit. I think I just enjoy the consistency of the NBA.

NBA has much more parity now. Since the Warriors dynasty has ended in 2018 there has been a new champ each year and no team has made it to the finals in consecutive years. The NBA has way more parity now than the NFL.

As for the argument that they don’t play defense in the NBA, that’s partially true but a lot of it is the players have become so talented on offense. Most NBA players can shoot 35% from three, 25 years ago only a handful of really good shooters could shoot at that clip.

I think a lot of you will warm up to the NBA when it comes back. If the Sonics stayed and the Mariners or Seahawks got taken, a lot of you would have the same negative feelings toward those leagues.
