It's a roller coaster of fun. There will be highs and lows and I think Its okay to experience and react however the track goes. As long as person doesn't see this as life, but as entertainment...enjoy the ride.

I'll never understand getting mad during a draft. Every pick we've had I can find pundits who love it and pundits who don't. But so many armchair gm's love to come home after working in the paper mill and get upset about us drafting the wrong player.

I have an overall positive opinion of the draft. My least favorite pick has been the first pick we made, honestly. Otherwise, I mostly see a clear vision that I personally agree with and enjoy.

I don't pay the slightest bit of attention to college football and have never heard the names of the players we've drafted until we did. So I'm happy to look at the positions we draft (yay, o-line in the 1st!) and figure that the professional scouting and coaching staffs know just a little bit more than I do about how good these players fit the schemes. Every pick in every round is a crapshoot.

This latest pick, another TE (who's most likely gonna convert to FB) is the only pick I'm scratching my head over. He could've been an UDFA. Chase Lundt, Lequint Allen, and Cobee Bryant are still on the board. Would've preferred one of those guys.

If I didn't like a player before the draft, seems wrong to suddenly pretend I actually liked him all along just because we drafted him.
I praise the picks I like, criticize the ones I dont; I enjoy the prognostication. If I'm wrong later, I'm perfectly OK with that. Give me that crow.

I compare draft grumbling to a kid who is unhappy with his peanut butter cookie because he wanted chocolate chip. That chocolate chip cookie could be burned on the bottom or have too much salt while the peanut butter cookie could be baked perfectly. You don’t know until you chew on it for awhile.
5th option for me; the draft is a crapshoot and "grading" it immediately is just an exercise in restating your previous opinions. Nobody knows if the guys we are picking are going to hit, including Schneider. Of course that view doesn't generate clicks or radio talk.

The thing about watching a draft and being knowledgeable about many of the prospects available: because we don't own every single pick in every single round, over and over, you have to endure seeing other teams pick players you hope for or even covet. Over and over, you see certain teams potentially getting better because they picked so-and-so. But just remember, the draft is crapshoot for all 32 teams.

I’m most skeptical about Zabel….Im not insinuating he won’t be a stud…just never heard a word about him until the senior bowl.
He’s a guy I think we could’ve nabbed 10-15 picks lower but, we know that doesn’t always work out.
I love the rest…even the unknown nature of Milroe. I’m anxious to see what we turn that physical freak into down the road.

Outside of Milroe I don't really see any errors. Milroe's ceiling is low outside of anything but a gadget. I'm not specifically excited about any player like some drafts but that doesn't mean that they aren't full of studs. Only time tells on drafts.
I don't really follow college ball, so I never really know much about the players other than what I read here, and possibly some other sources. Therefore, I don't really know enough to rate the players, let alone criticize the team for the picks. Unlike for some, to me this isn't the "most important" day of the season, or maybe even of the off-season.

I just post my honest opinions of the picks. I loved our first 2 picks. I didn't like our next 2 picks. Does that make me a draft grumbler?

I've liked it, but like many, I really don't follow college ball or know any of the players.
I like that we got 'something' on the O-line mainly. Could it have been more? Sure. Would any of the late round picks end up better than what we're apparently trying to develop? Who knows?
I'd agree with another couple of posters that say that we spent a couple picks on positions where we already had depth, and not on a couple positions that we don't. RB being one of those spots, but if we're using a FB, then hopefully the injury potential for the lead RBs will be reduced.
I don't hate it, and I kinda like it. But, we'll see how things pan out.
I'm as excited for the non-Grubb season of stupidity, new schemes, and balanced playcalling hopefully as much as I am about the raw draft. I'd like to see what we HAVE used better this season.

I find the whole draft process to be comical going into it. The mock drafts, the experts, it’s all just very silly to me.
Regarding this thread, I choose option 3. If they’re on the team, I’ll root for them. Others who hope a player on their team fails just to feel vindicated on an online forum is just sad.
